Danicalifornia.............nice guess.

Unioto defeated Chillicothe back-to-back years in 2002 and 2003 regular season games.

Chillicothe returned the favor in 2006 and 2007. (2006 in the tournament and 2007 in a regular season match-up at the VA.)

The rubber game will be this year on Sept. 4th at Chillicothe. (I really don't know if the two school ever played before 1998)

All of the games have been very hard played and full of intensity. (sometimes too much intensity, lol)

Bucknuts- I'm pretty sure that in the early days of soccer in the SE District, Unioto and Chillicothe played about once a season, but I know that stopped around the early 90's.

The 2002 game between Unioto and Chillicothe was when the Unioto students started to believe that Unioto would go undefeated.

The 2006 game was just a great game and unbelievable defense by the Cavaliers on Tyler Bryant and Jeff Strausbaugh. And a great goal by that terrible coach's son  .

Well, the coach needed to make sure his son got some playing time. lol

You know he broke his nose that game. (Accidental elbow by Tim Cook) I can't remember if he headed in that winning goal with a broken nose, or it was before. I think it was before. Sounds better if he scored it with a broken nose.

Played the Southeast Dst all-star game at GK with a protective mask on.

Broke it again after surgery by a Ray Chambers elbow on the basketball court a short time later. Just left it alone after that. The nose is still not right.

A mid-season report on the Cavaliers...

"Well based off of what you have said, Basil and Skowronek will need to put the ball in the net a bunch becuase it sounds like CHS will have to take the ball out of their own net just as much." brutally honest March 8, 2008

Luckily, Skowronek and Basil are finding the net often enough, but opponents of the Cavs not as much.

The mid-season report is very encouraging for the young Cavs. After 8 games the team stands at 7-1-0 overall and a 5-0-0 SEOAL record. (The lone loss came to Teays Valley 1-0) The team has recorded tough road wins at Jackson and Warren.

The team has scored 27 goals (3.375 avg) and only give up a total of 8. (1.0) Only two teams have scored more than one goal in a game against the Cavs and that was Circleville and Logan, both of whom scored two goals. The D has not been stellar, but they are stingy.

Tony Skowronek leads the team with an impressive 13 goals. (and he missed two games due to injury.) Drew Basil has 7 goals and 4 assists. This two-headed monster of Chillicothe has carried the team while the supporting cast has progressed., just like it was hoped they would.

Nine different players have scored goals for the Cavs, and 11 different players have assists.

The Cavs have made it to the mid-season healthy, and for the most part, injury-free.

The second half of Chillicothe's schedule gets much tougher with road games at Marietta, Waverly, Logan, and Bishop Watterson.

Congrats on the win over Waverly tonight. Very good team and fun to watch. Still enjoy the "throw in" set pieces by Drew Basil and the great goals by Tony Skowronek. Glad to see that Tony is back on the field again. Good Luck for the rest of the season from Wheelersburg!

Thanks...the team is really starting to play well. Still gave up two silly goals to Waverly. (One own goal and one goal on a quick re-start)

We have had a few of those goals scored on us this year when we loose focus. (Sometimes that happens with a young team)

The Marietta loss earlier in the week probably helped more than it hurt in showing the team that we still have a lot of work to do. Sometimes we get to thinking we are better than we actually are.

Even though Skowronek had a big game with 5 goals we played well as a team.
