Boy's schedule is pretty similar to the past few years, except with the substitution of two Belpre games and Fisher Catholic in place of the usual Pickerington games.

Given I don't know anything about Fisher Catholic, but I know Belpre is a young, not too strong program and would have liked to see Athens keep a few strong teams from up north. Ideally I'd go with a team from the Central District that we will always meet after districts, just to see that different kind of game in advance.

I agree.

You have an independent schedule to work with, which means, you can schedule whatever 16 teams you want. Go with 16 different teams, this has helped Unioto a lot in the past few years. You get to see a lot of different styles and skill levels.

I can see playing Alexander twice, but I'd like to see them play around with it some more and get some of those Central Districts teams if possible. You may only get them to commit to one year, but it will help.

Some great home games this year. Lancaster, Unioto, and South Webster should all be treats for Bulldogs fans. I too think Athens could have done a heck of a lot better on the schedule as a whole. Games with Circleville, Fisher Catholic, and Belpre might work as confidence boosters but they most certainly won't get the Bulldogs ready for tournament play.

bulldog- Don't sleep on Circleville, especially if Kort Wolfe is on the field. Great speed and is very dangerous. They should be pretty young, but they could be a tough test.

Hmmm.....no Chillicothe for the Bulldogs Boys Varsity independent schedule :?: :-D

Isn't Soccer The Plain Athens more competitive sport :?:

Must be not to concerned in playing some real D2 soccer competition in SE-Ohio, like the 2007 SEOAL Champions, The Chillicothe Cavaliers :?: :-D
