Bewildering call from the official that negated a 25 yard Michael Norris free kick that landed uncontested into the far upper 90. Official claimed that he had signaled an indirect kick (after first somewhat signaling an offside) but had not made that distinction on ANY free kick that night, before OR after the bogus call. Not one to call out an official but this one made a number of questionable calls during the match. Credit to LE--two attempts on goal and two scores. Alexander missed on 23 shots and the LE defenders saved four off the line that should have counted; well done. That official's call, though,.......just bewildering.
Well unfortunately, officials are bad. There aren't enough go one ones to go around and there are too many that you are discouraged as soon as you see them doing your game. It's not just a SE thing though, this is a statewide problem.
