Webster @ Minford 8/25/15

Webster and Burg seem to be SOC favorites. Any thoughts on this big early contest with the SOC defending champs from 2014 season? Minford lost some talent from last years team but beat Jackson 2-1 in the home opener. Webster dominated southeastern 9-4.

Double trouble on the sloppy joe goals. Absolute snooze fest. Minford looked bad sw looked even worse.

Game I saw was one where both defenses played great.

Hence... SNOOZE FEST!!! If duffs, biffs, shanks, and melves, from offense = great defense then I guess you're kind of right. Wasn't worth the $10 spent. (Ticket $5, Popcorn $1, Mt. Dew $2, Snickers $1, Skittles 1$) Popcorn was pretty good on a lighter note. ;-)

I also enjoy a low scoring baseball game because it emphasizes solid pitching and defense, and greater emphasis on strategy. Only two goals shows that strong defense was prevalent for both teams. Both defenses including Minford ' s Tolle, Harris, Higbee, and freshman Michael ?; and Webster ' s Dutiel and others did well also. Minford ' s goalie Gullett and Webster ' s goalie Coriel both had excellent games also. Always heard that defense wins ballgames, and ties games also.
