Nice to see Athens boys and Chillicothe girls getting some votes this week. Both have had a great start to their seasons.

Neither teams has played anyone. Chillicothe girls when they have played someone has lost. Their conference is very weak. As for Athens the only two games they have been part of is Warren with a new coach and beginning of the season. Warren gave up three goals in the first two games and yet to be scored on since. Then Athens beat Minford 1-0. Other than that their schedule is very weak. It is nice seeing them get votes but wish they both had a harder schedule.

Jmo but until the se district starts winning some regional games, I'm not sure how we could ever complain that are schools aren't getting votes. I'd be more on athensfc side of things here. For a se district team to really earn it and get some respect, we are going to have to beat some good Columbus teams.

The CHS Girls have tried to make their schedule as hard as possible, but with 12 league games already scheduled, it's difficult. Within the last 4 years they've played Bishop Waterson (x2), Zanesville (x2) Upper Arlington (x2) & Dublin Scioto (x2). One year they even did the triple with Waterson home, @ Zanesville & @ Scioto.

Agreed that the league is weak, and if given the chance, we could choose to play teams once instead of twice. We've brought it up with no success. But the league isn't all bad. Wilmington, Clinton Massie & Hillsboro are all/usually strong. We usually try to do a few local Rivals along with Central/OCC Schools. This year we were Home vs Upper Arlington (L 2-0), at Unioto (W-3-1), @ Jackson (Oct 3) & @ Scioto (Oct 17).

I think the good teams have scheduled just fine. That's regular season. I meant se teams have to start beating Columbus teams when it counts, in the regional.

I wasn't saying you schedule a soft schedule. I understand that you only have four games.

We need to start taking it more serious. To many teams in the SE only have a few year round players. So when it comes to big games they don't play in enough to know what it takes.
