Welcome to the respect received by the SE district from around the state.
I mean lets be honest... when has the SE gone to regionals and won to gain respect?

Not arguing they deserve respect but they just don’t get it nor have they earned it.

Yes the southeast hasn’t earned all the respect yet, but Lynchburg Clay girls went to state just a season or two ago. So why does that not earn respect?

How does Madeira get ranked with their record? If not mistaken their wins come against teams under 500.

Don't like that one either. They are normally in regional finals every year, and lose to CCD, but this year they aren't beating the teams they should or the way they normally do. Would be curious to see who the coach who votes is in that district, and maybe he sees something that their record doesn't indicate.

Madeira is the 3rd best team out of Cincinnati and plays an absurd schedule. They would utterly dominate any team from our area, which is probably why they still get votes despite their record being the way it is this season.

I agree with you, except their schedule this year hasn't produced like normal. But ultimately I still agree with you

Basically, until teams from SE Ohio start winning a Regional title every few years instead of once every 10-20 years, they'll start getting respect. Until then, it's the world we live in. South Webster has had a heck of a season and probably deserves some more votes in D3. But the only thing the voters know about them is losing 6-0 to Grandview Heights in Regional Final last year. Gotta prove it on the field.*

What do you have to do to earn respect in the state? Regional finals last year, state final four year before, regional finals year before that. This from a PUBLIC school, no recruiting just home grown kids. Oh, and haven't lost a league game in over a decade. Is winning the state the only answer to earning respect in the state? Because I will tell you that is not happening for public school, system set up against them. Go look at the records for the last 10 years girls soccer in every division and get back to me on how many public schools have won a state title. Lynchburg-Clay has been pretty good and consistent for a long time, but if that doesn't deserve respect I guess they will have to work harder.

Honestly though, it's just a poll, and its a few select coaches puttin it together. We could require them to do more homework and try ti vote better, but in the end it doesn't matter because every team makes the tourney.

Im more annoyed with how in girls d2, the east gets 2 teams to regionals and get to play each other while the SE gets to play the CD(usually granville) every year. No idea why it doesn't at least rotate.

Yep, couldn’t agree more on this. Whomever our rep is will compete well with the Central team and then the East winner will lose by a touchdown again like last year.

Good argument but look at the polls. And no public school is going to compete. LC has been there but coming out of the SE district doesn’t get you much. Also look at the number of state players that come out of this district. Very disproportionate.
