There are several alternatives in the area for club volleyball. SOVC tryout schedule http://www.sovc.net/tryouts.shtml is current and up to date. Also check out ALETA http://www.aletaaces.org/home.php and Spiketown http://www.spiketownvolleyballclub.com/ and Starbrick http://starbrickvolleyball.webs.com/ I'm sure I'm forgetting other clubs but someone on here will know. Here's also a good resource from the OVR https://www.ovr.org/juniors/clubs.php?c ... mity=&zip=

Psssst....Pro tip for the high school player: if you're planning to tryout for a club team you should know that unless your playing in the Final Four it could be 2-3 weeks since you last touched a volleyball. Find a way to get in a gym and get some touches, swings, and serves in. Or get some lessons in. Volleyball is a timing sport...not just hitting but passing, serving, and digging requires timing. In a perfect world you would need to get in the gym at least 2x the week of tryouts, but once is even better than none. Besides you don't want to waste the first hour of tryouts getting your timing back do you? :122249

There are two clubs in the Chillicothe area. Google Spiketown or SOVC ( Southern Ohio Volleyball Club ) lots of info on both web sites.

The above applies to the "Jr High player" as well. They have even a longer down time before tryouts than the high schooler!
