Curious. Anybody know why Waverly and Beaver Eastern don't play? Two good programs in the same county, but no meeting in the season.

Waverly is a D2 school and Eastern is a D4.

Although, it would be nice to have a non-conference game next year.

No matter who Reedsville loses, them, along with Beaver and Webster are going to be the tops next year.

Calm down "once a piston"! If you look at the teams mentioned you will notice "run-n-gun" is only talking about Div IV schools. No disrespect for Wavery who is Div II.

Yes, that was D4. No way would I say D4 schools would be the best of all the teams.

And Waverly and Eastern should try to work something out soon. Waverly is looking really good now.

I'm confused because it looks like that is exactly where you have two of the three D IV teams you were mentioning?

The first post, mentioning SW and the two Easterns was from November of last year.

The second one is from October of this year. Not much to be confused about.

I'm saying in November I wouldnt have made that statement. Almost a year later and with the season in the books, I have backing. They have the best records of any team. Beaver(22-0) and Reedsville(21-1).

Sorry bout that.

You made that comment about "no way would I say d4 would be the best of all team" 10-14-12. I think that was yesterday.

Let me try to fully explain this a little better.

What I'm meaning is that last November, I wouldn't have only mentioned SW and the Easterns as the best in all of SE Ohio. The likes of Adena, Westfall, Waverly, etc would've been included had I been saying all of the SE. At the time I was specifically talking D4.

But now, after the season has been played, I do believe that two D4 schools could be the best in all of SE Ohio.

Moving on....

Waverly will face Jackson Wednesday at 6:00 at Waverly HS.

Jackson advanced by defeating South Point in 3. Jackson is 11-12 on the season.

Good Luck to both!

It's good. I wasn't very clear with it when I first started trying to explain.

Good luck to both Jackson and Waverly. I see the Tigers rolling to districts in 3.

25-15 was about the common score in preseason scrimmages.

Jackson has rolled off 4 in a row. Our best win was over Gallia Academy in 5.

We have had some excellent games...25-12 and 25-14 over Logan. We beat Warren at Warren in game 1 and led 24-18 in game 2. Had Chillicothe 20-18 at Chilly but couldn't pull it off. We've had trouble pulling off the upsets completely but have had some impressive moments.

I think it will be a Waverly vs Washington C.H. final. Why you say? Good coaching from both these teams and both play up-tempo skilled volleyball. Natalie and John are two of the better coaches in SE Ohio at teaching and game management. Good luck to both from your Chilli-bud :)
