I woul have to disagree about that. I believe shekinah is better than Newark catholic. Have you seen them play this year? It would be great to have both eastern teams in the finals again! Tournament time is fun!

I have not seen NC play this year. I thought NC had a tougher schedule. I don't doubt that the tournament has boiled it down to the four best D4 volleyball teams in the southeast are heading to Lancaster on Wednesday. Neither of the Eastern programs are respected across the state. I've not seen a single prediction with either team winning the semi. Lets go Eagles and win them both, again!

I didn't see a single prediction of the Giants winning the World Series.

I don't know who will win or how these teams rank against each other...but I will know before the week is over.

I'm going with Eastern Pike.

I haven't seen NC play this season, but I think Shekinah Christian may be a bit better this year. SC has 4 or 5 very good seniors and I think this is the team that they have highest hopes for. But, SC has a tendency to ubderperform in the big game. We'll see this year.

Both Eastern teams look impressive. They have pretty much cruised through their schedule all season. Some of the "experts" are picking Newark Catholic to make it to the championship game. TCC with 4 losses this season, not expected to do too much. Let's prove them all wrong

Flames are the first team to sweep a 3-0 decision against Reedsville since Beaver Eastern in the 2010 district final.

That streak was at 53 matches before Wednesday night.

Let's go Eagles! Newark Catholic was pretty darn good too, but we got through them!!! They were predicted to win our regional and everyone just kept talking about them, but we proved them wrong. I don't have the stats past this year, but I know the program they come from and beating them in 3 games, was a wake up call for people not to underestimate the team from southern Ohio, Eastern!!!!! This should be a great match up! Go Eagles!

Looking at season results, I thought that Newark Catholic may have been the tougher between them and SC in the semis. Having watched both semis, I was wrong! The SC game is a quantum level above Newark Catholic's. NC may have a little more height, but the comparison stops there. I think that SC plays the game at a pace much faster than anybody in the southeast plays it. They have a great setter that seemed to deliver the ball on target most every time to hitters that will put it away. SC floods the back court on serve return; need some short serves to get them back into position.

Tomorrow's match should be a great one, take them deep and be ready for the fight of the season. Reedsville got them last year, I felt, along with the fifth set red card, by wearing them out.

Bring the championship back south!!
