Snapped a few good pics tonight of Southern vs Eastern ... http://www.facebook.com/#!/media/set/?s ... 420&type=1

After I cropped and edited a few - it really made the front page of the TVC web site really nice! http://trivalleyconference.com/

THX TORNADOES FOR AN AWESOME REGULAR SEASON.

Congratulations to the Tornadoes for an unblemished regular season. Quite an accomplishment that doesn't happen too often. Good luck in the post season, would like to see a nice deep tournament run to top off your regular season accomplishments.

Going undefeated in baseball is definitly a huge accomplishment ... There are lots and lots of ways to lose a baseball game ... then you have back end of doubleheaders, sometimes the pitching match-ups don't favor you with everyone playing so many games, non-league games can be tricky if your concentrating on winning a league title and don't throw any of your top pitchers ... There are weeks when your playing 6 games in 5 days or 5 games in four days ... Etc... etc... etc...

Probably the biggest hurdle though is the fact that in baseball - any team can truly beat another team on any given day (more so than any other sport) ... If the Miami Heat are playing the Cavs in basketball - odds are the Heat is going to win ... If the New England Patriots are playing the Browns - odds are the Pats are going to win ... BUT ... The Kansas City Royals can go into Yankee Stadium tonight and beat the Yankees without any problem what-so-ever ... That's why any gambler will say "never bet on baseball - your bound to lose."

So yea, running the gauntlet and winning 24 straight baseball games without losing a single game is very, very impressive.

I would like to see that as well. That would mean that a SEO team would make it to the state. That would be awesome!

I can't believe Southern dropped another spot in the polls? They are now 5th, what a joke!

Polls have always been a joke, exsp in baseball. Nobody cares about them anyway. Its time to play some team ball tornadoes and make a run at it.

The polls at this point, honestly, have absolutely no merit. I would not waste a second of my time looking up where my team stands in the "polls". It is what they do now from this point going forward that is going to have everyone's attention. That, in my opinion, is much more important than a bunch of sports writers, or coach's opinions, of teams that they have never seen play.

Go support your kids and enjoy what is yet to come.

Kind of surprised to read through the post on this topic and see how many negative ones there are. It's an amazing feat that any sports fan should appreciate. Every one is entitled to their opinion but sounds like alot of jealousy to me. Congrats Tornadoes and good luck through out the tournament!!

The polls are just a popularity contest, West is ranked ahead of Wheelersburg in DIII however burg has a record of 3-0 against the siders. Don't pay much attention to the polls right now, the only polls that matter are the ones that come out in June ;).

Cross posted on the DIV tournament thread:

Where does Southern play their games? Is it at the school? Are there any pictures of the field?
