Yes , it is probably closer to 8 miles. I was trying to point out that people were making something out of nothing. Why so negative Frozen, they won their first 2 games today.

Not negative at all...glad to hear they won their first two games (who'd they play?). I was just pointing out that it is definitely farther than 4 miles between the two schools....my guess is that it's even further than 8 miles too. Going out the new 33/7 connector and into Racine the back way seems like it takes forever. I'm not sure but going the other way through Minersville and Syracuse might even be shorter than the back way.

FR, I saw Meigs Sunday and they were impressive, has to "who'd they play?" they played a very young and banged up Post 303 team. As I said on another thread...

Ian Hall of Oak Hill broke his ankle on Saturday and is out for four to six weeks. Andy Grillo of Vinton County is still recovering from a severely sprained ankle from high school baseball season. And Anthony Bentley of Vinton County was at the Reds game, yesterday. We were missing one third of a starting line-up. Not that it would have made any difference, Meigs has very solid ball club, great hitting, great pitching and great defense they should be a force to be reckoned with in the District 8 tournament.

Thanks sports nut. There's usually a lot of talk about the Meigs Legion team but it's seemed awfully quiet lately.

What's the deal? It seems like since the season started everyone from Meigs has gotten quiet. Heading up to the season the players and fans were posting on this site like crazy and these threads were always at the top. Now you can't find ANYTHING about them....not even a score. I've even been checking the Daily Sentinel website and they don't even have anything. Can someone please keep us (the out-of-towners) posted on the scores throughout the season?

Lost 5-2 and won 7-4 I think that was the scores against Lancaster.

Directions fron Portsmouth - Take 35 to Gallipolis turn left on Rt. 7 to 124 to county road 28/Bashan rd. Racine exit Turn right on Tornado rd. go 2 miles Turn left on Rt. 338 go about 1 mile field is on the left. Its called Star Mill Park on the right. Rt.7 turns into 124 take it from Gallipolis till you come to 28/Bashan rd.

Feel free to correct me if I got anything wrong.

Meigs lost both to Portsmouth 5-0 and 10 or 12 to 5. I think! Didnt hit the ball very well and way to many errors I was told.

Thanks for the correction, my informant wasn't sure what the score was. I've been trying to keep the out of towners posted since nobody else has been doing it.

sports nut...apprectiate your updates. Still have yet to see anything in the online Daily Sentinel (the games against Lancaster and Pickerington haven't even been in the Lancaster paper so I didn't even know those scores either), so your updates are helpful.
