oh, but you said "local"...Greenup County is closer to Burg than say.....Ironton or Northwest...

I think Minford is closer than all 3.... :122245 :122249

Their record coming in was something like 14-3, but not sure about their ranking.

Burg Over Greenup tonight to win the Greenup Tournament 14-6. Dakota Luster pitched 4 nice innings with Austin Boyer coming in for the last three. The bats were hot with Nic Kemper and Austin Hall both hitting Homeruns. Nice team effort ;-) Go Burg

Actually 15-6 (I took a picture). ;-)

Wheelersburg 3 1 3 1 1 3 3 = 15
Greenup 2 2 1 0 1 0 0 = 6

All runs in the innings in bold were scored on a home run.

Good win by the Pirates. Had some fireworks tonight, very unprofessional actions by the umpires tonight towards the Wheelersburg fans and players. I have never seen a situation such as tonight. Wheelersburg assistant, Coach Conn was tossed as he was protecting the players and because of that, Coach Estep was also made to stay in the dugout.

The base umpire seriously needs reported to the state for the way he acted.

But as normal, Wheelersburg and Waverly battled on the diamond with class.
