Athens High School field renovation

some of you guys should run down to Racine and check out the field renovations at Southerns field in Star Mill park,.... i know of a few coaches, communitie members and players that put countless hours into the field... The new grass infield looks fantastic and so does the warning track....the windscreen is being ordered... should be one of the nicest fields in the TVC...

I'd like to see more dirt added to the infield. If the budget allows for it, a clay infield would be great. Some of the bounces you get in that infield are embarrasing. All of the renovations in the world can't make up for hard infield dirt and bad hops.

I'll be there tomorrow and Sunday. Is it okay if I bring my pickup truck and old fence drag so I can drag the field? Also, I will bring some sand for the low areas and fill them in. I'll be there around 11 in the middle of the ice storm. :lol:
