Beverly-Lowell Post 389/750 came from two runs down in the ninth inning to
beat Zanesville Post 29 6-5 last nite in Beverly. This forces a winner take all tonight, and a trip to Athens for the State Tourney. Ryan Highman pitched the complete game for the win.
Come to Beverly this evening for the 5:00 start. Best field in the area to watch a game, lots of shade all around seating area, and great food.
Should be another great game. See you there.

Re: American Legion Dist. 11 Tourney
B/L once again dug a hole for themselves by getting down 6-0 to Zanesville. They battled back to make it 7-5 in the eighth and had the tying run on 3rd with 2 outs. A deep fly ball to the fence in left-center ended their hopes of going to State. Zanesville played another solid ballgame. Goodluck to Post 29 at the State Tourney.
B/L, it was a great season. A very enjoyable ride for this fan.

Good Luck Zanesville Post 29 at Athens.
Three very competitive games this past weekend between Beverly-Lowell and Zanesville. The players and coaches of both teams should be proud of their efforts. It is too bad someone had to lose.
Beverly-Lowell was a pleasure to watch this past summer and the boys had a great season in my opinion. I would like to thank the players who finished up their last season as Legion players and wish them good fortune in whatever they do in the future. One player (Garrett Proctor) who I enjoyed watching over the last few years of Legion and High School (Warren Local) that I have a great respect for and who is a great young man will be missed. Garrett, keep playing as hard in college as you did this past summer, you were sure fun to watch.
I hope Beverly-Lowell continues putting out quality teams in the future and quality players. Baseball, there is nothing better.
Many thanks to Post 389/750 for supporting these young men in our community.

It is a nice setting to watch a game. Let's hope they fix the infield next year.
Re: American Legion Dist. 11 Tourney
Infield was totally reworked about a month ago.
New sod laid by players, coaches, parents, and friends of the Cadet, & Legion teams. This will be one of the best fields in the area now.

Zanesville should be the host next year (2009). Beverly-Lowell held it last year and Cambridge the year before. St. C doesn't have a field nice enough to hold the event on. If Z'ville is the host, it will probably be held at Muskingum College or Gant Stadium.
