Good young players

Post by Watson45 »

I have had the chance to watch some great upper class men ball players this season. Who are the better young players? Freshman or young sophmores? How many have hit the varsity rosters?

Bryce Hilverding and Braden Belleville were impressive when I watched, think Hilverding is a sophomore and Belleville a freshman

Eastern loaded with talent in the sophomore class. A couple kids with talent in the freshman class of 2016. Expect them to make some noise the next couple years.

Has to be Eastern Brown, Cause all Eastern Reedsville has is Austin Coleman in the Sophomore Class.

Rock Hill has a lot of young kids with a lot of potential to turn into good players in the next few years.

Varsity team only dresses 3 seniors and no juniors with the rest being freshman and sophomores a lot of youngsters are getting varsity experience this year.

The SVC will be just fine next year, even with losing an outstanding senior class.

Unioto has 2 sophomore stud pitchers.
Adena has a boatload of young talent.
Westfall plays a bunch of underclassmen.
Piketon has a couple of really nice underclassmen.
Southeastern's sophomores can really hit.

Unioto has four sophomores, Patterson, Ooten, Burns, and Sigler that are forces to be reckoned with this year. Three of them are young enough to be freshmen by age (All 15 until well after the seasons end) and one of them is a junior by age. Patterson and Sigler have been relied on heavily on the hill and have proven their worth. Ooten and Burns have been relied on in the field and behind the plate while slinging some valuable innings on the hill as well. Ooten has closed in 9 of the 22 game schedule and can catch with the best. Burns is a great catcher and utility player who hustles even in his sleep if I was a betting man. I think we will hear their names quite a bit in the future.

BTW- They all start varsity night after night

Notre Dame starts 4 sophomores (Book, Cassidy, Corns, Speas), 3 of which started last year as freshman (Cassidy, Corns, Speas). All 4 exceptional ball players.

C.J corns is a really good young pitcher and throws some heat to go along with some nice breaking stuff.
