Pretty good day for high school baseball in the TVC. No. 8 seed Athens defeated 9th seeded Chillicothe 3-2 in a DII sectional game. No. 13 Nelsonville-York stunned 4th seeded Ironton 10-0 in a DIII sectional championship in Ironton. 10th seeded River Valley did the same upsetting No. 7 Fairland 1-0. Top seeded Trimble handled 9th seeded Eastern Pike 10-1 and 7th seeded Belpre knocked off the No. 2 seed South Webster 3-2. The TVC-Hocking put four teams in the district semi-finals to be held Sunday at Paints Stadium in Chillicothe.
