I was at the Pick North game; One of the best games I have ever seen. This is my 8th season in a row at the State Tournament and that was by far one of the best games ever. Both teams had kids throwing in the high 80's, disciplined, hacking away at strikes. The error in the 8th by St Iggy was a shot to left that the kid made a play on but just dropped it. With 2 outs North kids were running on the pitch and they scored easily. TWO HANDS YOUNG PLAYERS!!

Waynedale rallies late and beat Clear Fork 6-3.

Clear Fork was up 1-0 going to top of 6th. Waynedale got 2 runs in top to take a 2-1 lead, Clear Fork scores 2 in bottom to take the lead back 3-2.
Waynedale put up a 4 spot in the top of 7th and wins 6-3.

Berlin Hiland vs Waynedale for D3 State Championship. Heard these 2 schools are about 15 miles from each other. Does not look like they played this year though.

Yes, 15 miles apart. Play in different leagues and did not play each other non-league. Both threw their hammers today. Mullet for Hiland threw another shutout and Schlabach from Waynedale only gave up three hits in a complete game. Both are First team All-Ohio pitchers this year and they both backed up that honor in the State Tournament.

Mullet didn't get overworked today, so slight possibility he could come back tomorrow in relief. But, their #2 is no pushover at all, was very impressed with him against Minford last week.
