Coach Dean Schuler Retiring

After 34 seasons as the head coach of the Valley High School Baseball Program, Dean Schuler will be retiring following this season.

Tomorrow (5/9) we have a home double header with Zane Trace. It is our last regular season home games of the season.

Any former players, or anyone whose lives have been touched by Coach Schuler are urged to come by the ballfield tomorrow.

If you cannot make the games tomorrow, we will be playing our tournament game at home on 5/16 at 11am as well.

Congratulations Coach, I played college baseball with "Squeak" at Malone College in Canton. He hung the nickname Tazmanian Devil,"Taz," on me in the spring of 1975 in Florida and it has stuck ever since as you can see by my forum nickname.
He was an excellent 3rd baseman, hit a bottom of the 9th home run in District 22 tournament play against Rio Grande College, close to where I live now, to advance us to Area 6 tournament. After he graduated he stayed as an assistant coach and did an excellent job as well'
Good luck coach. Coach Starcher from Malone I'm sure is smiling down on you.
