With Minford starting 9-0 and beating Adena in 2 games very handily, I would think that Minford is right now the team to beat in the SOC II.

Waverly played West on Friday at West and got through 6 innings before being suspended due to darkness. Waverly was up 13-6 after 6 innings and will finish the game tonight at Waverly followed by their second game. Games start at 5

Have to love what the new coaches are doing with the program. Hopefully they will stick around for a while.

According to some on here they are the biggest idiots around.

Congrats to Aaron and his staff on the 9-0 start.

And doing this with a very very young team with only 1 senior. Look out this year and the next couple years.

Nobody said he was an idiot that I can remember. He played college baseball so he is knowledgeable of the game.

The complaints were about his actions with the kids. Cussing at them, etc. Hopefully that has been remedied.

Waverly with 2 wins last Night over West. 13-6 Game 1 and Game 2 was 1-0. Clayton Howell CG 4 hit shutout, best game he's pitched this year. Waverly is 5-2 overall and 4-0 in the league. They play @ Adena tonight at 5.

Well whatever he's doing is working so more power to him. I find it funny that people had problems with him cussing when their kids probably say worse on the daily at school.

Boy Hopper has you and whoever told you that snowballed. The players would play harder for his assistant coaches than him. A majority of the team could not stand him. However, they showed more visible respect for coach Knittle, Russell, Bucowitz, and Davis. The program would prosper more, in my opinion, with Knittle or Davis leading them. It was a shame Coach Daniels couldn't stay one more year.

Sounds to me like a unhappy parent whose son wasn't catered to. Get over it already! Everyone else has. Wouldn't be suprised if minford17 turned into baseball16 based upon the comments. How about putting away all the negativity and support the program! Minford is having a solid season, the players are responding to the coaching and hope it continues.

All everyone in the SOC talks about is how great Coach Estep from Wheelersburg is and how they'd love to have him in their program. Coach Hopper played for Estep for 4 years and brings the same mentality Estep coaches with. Yet, they complain about his coaching mentality and approach to the game. He coaches very similar to Estep as far as demanding respect and effort at all times. Don't complain Minford....be thankful.

Schedule shows Minford coming to town this evening to face Burg, should be a good game. May have to take this one in.

Nailed it.

It will be real interesting to see how the Minford and Wheelersburg games play out this week.

Can we get updated standings and then try to keep track going forward?

I know Valley is 4-3 and 2-2 in the league.

I see Waverly is 5-2 and 4-0.

Minford is 9-0 but what is their league record?

I see Wheelersburg is 3-2 overall.

Anyone else?

Minford is 5-0 in league play (wins over Oak Hill x2, NW x2, Valley x1)

Wheelersburg is 3-2 overall - 3-0 in SOC (beat Oak Hill 2x and Northwest 1x)

In the 3 SOC games, Burg pitching has given up 2 runs and scored 19 runs

In the Greenup game, Burg used 6 position players to pitch (one per inning)

Now that everyone is back for Burg, I think it'll be a great game tonight!

GO BURG!
