2018 SOC II
Re: 2018 SOC II
Waverly with 2 wins last Night over West. 13-6 Game 1 and Game 2 was 1-0. Clayton Howell CG 4 hit shutout, best game he's pitched this year. Waverly is 5-2 overall and 4-0 in the league. They play @ Adena tonight at 5.
Re: 2018 SOC II
Well whatever he's doing is working so more power to him. I find it funny that people had problems with him cussing when their kids probably say worse on the daily at school.Bleeding Red wrote: ↑Mon Apr 09, 2018 10:43 pmNobody said he was an idiot that I can remember. He played college baseball so he is knowledgeable of the game.Crab's Brother wrote: ↑Mon Apr 09, 2018 3:29 pmAccording to some on here they are the biggest idiots around.
Congrats to Aaron and his staff on the 9-0 start.
The complaints were about his actions with the kids. Cussing at them, etc. Hopefully that has been remedied.

Boy Hopper has you and whoever told you that snowballed. The players would play harder for his assistant coaches than him. A majority of the team could not stand him. However, they showed more visible respect for coach Knittle, Russell, Bucowitz, and Davis. The program would prosper more, in my opinion, with Knittle or Davis leading them. It was a shame Coach Daniels couldn't stay one more year.

Sounds to me like a unhappy parent whose son wasn't catered to. Get over it already! Everyone else has. Wouldn't be suprised if minford17 turned into baseball16 based upon the comments. How about putting away all the negativity and support the program! Minford is having a solid season, the players are responding to the coaching and hope it continues.baseball16 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 10, 2018 12:29 pm Post by minford17 » Fri Sep 22, 2017 12:57 am

All everyone in the SOC talks about is how great Coach Estep from Wheelersburg is and how they'd love to have him in their program. Coach Hopper played for Estep for 4 years and brings the same mentality Estep coaches with. Yet, they complain about his coaching mentality and approach to the game. He coaches very similar to Estep as far as demanding respect and effort at all times. Don't complain Minford....be thankful.BaseballGuy wrote: ↑Tue Apr 10, 2018 3:40 pmSounds to me like a unhappy parent whose son wasn't catered to. Get over it already! Everyone else has. Nailed it.
It will be real interesting to see how the Minford and Wheelersburg games play out this week.
Can we get updated standings and then try to keep track going forward?
I know Valley is 4-3 and 2-2 in the league.
I see Waverly is 5-2 and 4-0.
Minford is 9-0 but what is their league record?
I see Wheelersburg is 3-2 overall.
Anyone else?

Re: 2018 SOC II
Wheelersburg is 3-2 overall - 3-0 in SOC (beat Oak Hill 2x and Northwest 1x)
In the 3 SOC games, Burg pitching has given up 2 runs and scored 19 runs
In the Greenup game, Burg used 6 position players to pitch (one per inning)
Now that everyone is back for Burg, I think it'll be a great game tonight!
GO BURG!

I believe Minford has scored 101 runs in 9 games and given up 30 (10 of which was in the opening game against Athens) if they continue to hit 1-9 the way they have been they’ll be hard to handle. Big wins this year thus far vs Zane Trace 6-4 & AdenaBleeding Red wrote: ↑Wed Apr 11, 2018 8:55 amWho didnt play for Burg last night vs Greenup County and why did they have players out?PirateBB wrote: ↑Wed Apr 11, 2018 8:11 am Wheelersburg is 3-2 overall - 3-0 in SOC (beat Oak Hill 2x and Northwest 1x)

Agree! Minford has had a great season so far and beat Adena handily in 2 games, to whom Burg lost.MinfordFalcons wrote: ↑Wed Apr 11, 2018 9:39 amI believe Minford has scored 101 runs in 9 games and given up 30 (10 of which was in the opening game against Athens) if they continue to hit 1-9 the way they have been they’ll be hard to handle. Minford with a great comeback win last night congrats to the Falcons.
I had to leave early but what I got to see was a very good game between two nice ball clubs.
