Hillsboro 0
Gallipolis 0
Top 7th

I believe Gallia has surrendered 2 hits and Hillsboro none. Two great pitchers tonight.

Yes, coach Corvin has stepped away from the Gallia Academy Baseball Program. He has put in a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into that program. Congratulations on a great run.
Tonight's game was a tough one. Two very good pitchers dealing. However, I will say there are two things you can't control in baseball. 1. is the weather, and 2. are the umpires. Not complaining about calls. There are tough one's to be made. My complaint is with one that had to show he's the show and was above the game. Hillsboro kid was ejected for drawing a line. Ejected immediately. I get that the kid should not have done this but this umpire needs to realize once you toss the player then that kid will now have to sit two games and will now not be able to play in a District Championship. How about a warning or just sitting him on the bench for a warning. I feel for this kid because he practiced and played all year and now will not be able to play in a game that is one of the biggest games of his career. It truly is a shame!

Congratulations to Coach Corvin on his retirement. Really good coach and will be missed in the coaching ranks, I'm sure.

Hillsboro vs Circleville
Unioto vs Athens

Just as everyone predicted before the tournament.

Athens is just a bunch of kids, barely old enough to drive, Unioto at least a 6 run favorite.

But that's what is great about baseball, anyone can win on any given day ,,, even the Reds.

I mean they are all sophomores but they can hit the ball.
