For 2019 the State Baseball Tournament is moving to Akron. It was mentioned reason for the move was Huntington Park was unavailable because of scheduled games. I wonder if the move of the state tournament to one week later than usual had anything to do with the scheduling issue.
Sucks that the tourney is moving for 2019 because I have been attending the last 6 years. Akron is much longer drive and added cost so no state tourney in 2019 for me.
Southeast teams advancing will also have much more travel involved.

yea, not sure why Ohio State would not be considered, or maybe it was.
Dayton Dragons home field would be a good alternative as well. Going clear to Akron is out for me! Baseball State Finals is not the heaviest attended games, so I am sure having it moved to Akron will hurt attendance even more so!

I think Cincinnati’s field would be a good option as well, really nice park. UC I mean of course, not GABP.
