The Swackhammer (sp.?) girl does an excellent job on the mound for ZT. Not the speed of Geno but has great movement.

With Westfall win over Piketon, I think 3 losses is now out of the race. The 2 loss teams are pretty close to being eliminated at this time. I don't see 2 league teams beating Westfall the 2nd round.

The SVC at the turn,
Past the turn,
before the turn,
Or
However you want to call it.
The weather has the league schedule in a tail spin for now.
I don't know who has all their round 1 games
in and who is still needing to finish out the first half of league play.
But anywho here is where we stand at some where close
to Mid season for the SVC League

7-0 the reigning State Champs of Westfall.
Yes Folks the SVC is a One Horse Race.
The only questions is who will finish second
And
Will the Mustangs add a Gold Ball
to their already stuffed Softball Trophy case
I called it go ahead and look at the X's pre season predictions.
It just goes to show what great knowledge the X has of SVC softball.

5-2 Adena
.
.
.
Ummmm ok I predicted the bottom half of the league
Is where Adena would finish.
Yelp The ol'10to'er missed that one.
BIG TIME
My bad.
Adena plays strong Defense, hits the ball well
and is very sound in the circle.
I knew some nice pieces was in place at Frankfort
And it looks like the new staff has put them together.
At 5-2 Adena is the only team left in the league with a remote
Possibility of catching Westfall

4-3 Piketon and Zane Trace
Piketon came out hot but seems to have cooled off as of late.
Joe South what's the scoops on the Streaks?
Is there an injury we don't know about?

Zane Trace - Trace has faced more than their fair share of adversity this season
At 4-3 I don't think they will get a share of the league title this year but I do think they are the best candidate to prevent the Mustangs from having a perfect 14-0 league record.

4-4 Huntington and Unioto
I thought both teams would be higher, Unioto's 4 losses is a bit inflated
Because they have both games with Westfall in while everybody else has only one or even none in the books with the reigning State Champs.
Huntington has had some impressive wins but they have had some head scratching losses to boot. I don't know what to make of them this season.

1-6 Paint Valley
If Paint valley could average .5 runs an inning
you would be flipping that record around to 6-1.

0-7 Southeastern
I see two SVC wins coming for the Panthers this season.
They are getting better and will be putting pressure on some
Unexpecting opponents in the second half of league action.

X I haven't heard of any injuries. As I said before the Streaks are young I'm sure coach will get them figured out and they will make a run in the second half. They had their chances to knock off the champs but couldn't get it done. Don't count them out with a little help they can get it done.
