I cannot begin to say how proud I am of the GAHS Blue Angels!! What an accomplishment for the players and coaches. Our ladies knew they could do it, and they did! Title 9 was in its early stages when I fought to get a softball program started at GAHS 32 years ago. I was the first coach and had 49 girls on that first team with no assistant. We've come a long way! For those of you who have not had the opportunity to watch these ladies, they open tournament play on Memorial Field Wed. at 5:00. Come on down and let them know how proud you are of this hard-fought crown they won this evening.

Congrats Blue Angles. Great to see the South win, hopefully all the teams from the South will follow your lead.

Teamwork. Playing as a team, good things happen. It was'nt one or even two players, it was all. Well done, well done indeed. Congratulations to the entire team, and especially the coaches. Coach Niday and Coach Lane, you have turned this program around. It is an honor and pleasure to know and watch this young ladies play this game. Good luck tomorrow, cherish today. Seniors, NOW is the time!!

Re: Blue Angels Win! Blue Angels Win! Blue Angels Win!
I know last year's title game at Logan was one of the best softball games I've ever seen in my life, and as happy as I was for the Lady Chiefs I felt just as bad for the Blue Angels. I was proud then, and still am now, of what both teams did that day.
Both teams played so hard and so well that day that you hated the fact that someone had to come out on the short end of the score. I refuse to say "loser" because there were NO "losers" that day in Hocking County.
I would have to feel the same sense would have to be there about this game as well. Congratulations to the Blue Angels on making school history and congratulations to Marietta as well. Two outstanding teams.
