Marietta scores 3 in the top of the 7th to break the tie:
Marietta 100 300 3 -- 7
Athens.. 100 210 0 -- 4
The 3 runs made the Marietta girl who was called out for the 3rd out in the earlier inning two minutes after the 5th run apparently scored, feel not so bad. Situation was runners on 2nd and 3rd and one out. A long fly to RCF and both runners ventured far from their bases. Runner on 2nd was doing the right thing, but the runner on 3rd barely got back to 3rd to re-touch in time to score on the SF. However the runner on 2nd must not have realized she had to re-touch 2nd and ended up on 3rd, only to be called out for the 3rd out after an appeal, negating the run that had crossed the plate.
