On the SVC slate for Monday
ZT @ Adena
UHS @ PV
HHS @ WF
Piketon @ SE

Game of the night is Huntington at Westfall.
HHS needs the win to keep title hopes alive.
Westfall win gives them a three game lead on the SVC pack
and you can chalk another Title up for Freddy Redman and the
Westfall Mustangs.

ZT at Adena should be an interesting one as well
as both teams look to be getting stronger as the season progresses.

League Standings
WF 9-0
HHS 7-2
PHS 6-3
UHS 6-3
AHS 3-6
ZT 2-7
PV 2-7
SE 1-8

Can't make up a score like that. Frenchtown is on fire for sure now.

It was a rough one

The grass isn't always greener when you let go of a successful coach.
First of all, the grass is already greener... Unioto only won six games in the SVC last season with JC and this year Unioto has already won six games in the SVC without JC and a returning catcher.
Unioto has seven sophomores... and a Jr and two Seniors that did not play last season, plus a freshman catcher, they are still a top three team in the SVC... lol

Put the coach issue to bed... Unioto is already better.

You need to learn to check your facts. Unioto was 8-6 last year in a much stronger SVC that included Mikayla Newland pitching at Paint Valley. The SVC had two teams win district championships last year and another play for a district championship. This is the worst I've seen the conference in several years.

Westfall - you know the team you laughed at before the start of the season when I said they'd win the conference - is starting five sophomores and a freshman in their lineup. They seem to be doing pretty well. Of course they have a coach who has won a state championship.

I knew Westfall had some youngins but I didn't realize they was that green.
Fred doesn't rebuild he just reloads.
Now if he could just get his ball diamond grass looking that good and green.

The rain has played havoc with Monday's games, now on the schedule to be played Thursday

What's the game matchups look like for Wednesday?
Unioto has Piketon at home

What's everybody else's schedule ?

Thursday Unioto at PV (had to drop wash CH game for league action)
Friday Unioto is at SE
A double header in Waverly on Saturday
No days off next week for Unioto either
With the rain outs this week it's going to be hard to get a full schedule in before tournaments

Westfall is hosting Paint Valley on Wednesday, Huntington on Thursday in a big conference game, at Piketon on Friday and then at Bishop Ready on Saturday for a doubleheader that also includes Teays Valley.

Adena has:

Tonight - Huntington @ Home - Cancelled(moved to 5/1)
Thursday - ZT @ Home
Friday - @ PV

Huntington walked off against Adena at their place. Could be a close one, could be Huntington by 20, just depends which Adena team shows up.

Westfall had 18 hits in the game and hit well the second, third and fourth time through the order. Game was over in six innings.

Huntington was hurt by three errors in the five-run Westfall fourth. Four of the runs were unearned.

Congrats to the Mustangs on winning a share of the conference title.

Also congrats to Cam on a perfect game. Always a special accomplishment.

Conference season finishes up on Wednesday. Unioto travels to Westfall to try and deny the Mustangs the gold ball.

Good luck to everyone in tournament play.
