Westfall had 18 hits in the game and hit well the second, third and fourth time through the order. Game was over in six innings.

Huntington was hurt by three errors in the five-run Westfall fourth. Four of the runs were unearned.

Congrats to the Mustangs on winning a share of the conference title.

Also congrats to Cam on a perfect game. Always a special accomplishment.

Game of the night is Huntington at Westfall.
HHS needs the win to keep title hopes alive.
Westfall win gives them a three game lead on the SVC pack
and you can chalk another Title up for Freddy Redman and the

ZT at Adena should be an interesting one as well
as both teams look to be getting stronger as the season progresses.

Congratulations to the Westfall softball team for winning the gold ball.

With the league in the books and another Gold Ball for Westfall it’s time to look at the tournament trail for the SVC.

What’s everybody’s thoughts?

Paint Valley has a very winnable game vs western in the 1st round. But the seeding gods didn’t show PV any favors in round 2 as they must travel to the Power House Clay
(1seed at 17-3)

Huntington (2 seed) gets the winner of ZT vs Lynchburg. I think it will be HHS vs ZT for a trip to the districts.
The road doesn’t get any easier as it’s looking like Dawson and Wheelersburg will be coming out of their respective sectionals

Westfall (1 seed) faces the winner of northwest/west. Some challenges that may lay ahead for the Mustangs in the districts are Ironton, Alexander or Fairfield.

SouthEastern pulled a tough draw in getting Ironton right out of the gate
And it wouldn’t get any easier from there
Fairfield, Alexander and Westfall lay ahead.

Piketon and Adena square off in round 1
With the winner likely heading to Fairfield for sectional title game. Like I listed above not an easy road for the winners of this contest.

D2 is tough
Unioto has Gallia academy at Gallia.
The winner gets #1 seed Sheridan.

As always it’s win or go home so teams need to focus on the game at hand and not look too far down the road.

I think we will see two or three SVC sectional winners this year with one District champion.
