Clay seems to have the only field that can be played on consistently through this weather.

Yep,they also have a great coach that puts in the work to take care of field.

Like I said on the other thread...A lot of it depends on how bad you want to play. If we are waiting for the fields to dry out completely... better play the season in July. Its April... its going to be wet.

Like we said the other day seems to be a lot of this going on. Sound footing in the infield. Nothing too treacherous in the outfield = PLAY BALL.
Sorry if precious is going to be a little extra muddy after the game. Maybe she should have played Tennis.
I now know of two teams that have cancelled AWAY games because they decided it was too wet.
Have you guys seen Notre Dames right field? It can be a deadly swamp at times. If they are still playing ball on it, no reason other teams aren't.

Exactly!! Let these kids play ball! We done a better job at getting games in during junior high season! This is varsity softball and no one wants to play if its a bit wet!!

You're exactly right. If you've been a part of Jr High or any travel ball where you actually pay to play you know there's no reason half these games should have been postponed.

Used to boil my blood when teams would cancel . Northwest ( NOT current staff ) cancelled on a nice day with us about 4 years ago. Infield was firm as it gets , OF was ?? damp at best . I stopped by that day , stood in the circle , field was near perfect . Girls work hard , most love the game , PLAY BALL !

I enjoyed watching that oakhill jr high team play a couple years ago those guys coaching done a good job nice bunch of talent on that squad. they should have most of the same players for varsity this year ?I’m guessing they lack that intensity and desire as before since youns aren’t even getting in games
