Four teams will move on to the districts in Athens

Unioto is right at 500 on the season with wins over
Huntington, PiketonX2 and Vinton County

Hey Manitoudan2, been awhile.
Hope all is good.

As for knowledge on this sectional
I yield the Floor to Bman,
I don’t know much about this lot.

Warren rode a low seeding last year all the way to the regionals I believe. I don’t know what they bring back.

Waverly plays in a very tough conference,
We get a look at them Saturday.

Jackson is crushing the ball, top in FAC.
I just don’t know how tough the FAC is.

Gallia academy usually has a good record. Plays some tough talent down south.

River Valley, I haven’t a clue

Chillicothe has an early season win over Unioto. I don’t know if they have beat anybody else above 500.

Don’t know much on Athens and Vinton County. Looks like the old Trivalleyconference.com web site is down.
Is it permanently down or just some server issues or is it on my end?
Vinton County did drop an early season contest to Unioto, I don’t know of any other common opponents.

* Warren is always ready to play come tournament time. They do bring back a decent roster. I think Warren and Jackson will bump heads again, always a good match up in the DII ranks.

* River Valley is decent from a scrimmage I seen them in, but not much defense all the way around.

* Chillicothe was knocked off early by Greenfield McClain, and was mercy ruled by Jackson. They have talent, but weak at defense. (2nd Person).

* Jackson is playing very well on both sides of the ball. They have lost two games so far this season by 2 runs to Alexander 12/10 and lost by 1 run to Circleville, 2/1. Jackson has won over Vinton County, Huntington Ross, A team from Akron area, Peebles, they also manhandled Wheelersburg in a early scrimmage. (2nd Person).

* I was told Waverly had injuries at the first of the season, should have some nice hitters and pitching. I'm not sure on how many quality wins they have. Don't they have a pitcher that came from Circleville. Waverly could be the spoiler. Not for sure if that conference is as strong as in past.

* TVC is up in the air for Athens, Meigs, and Alexander. I'm disappointed in Wellston and Vinton County, I really thought they would be contenders this year. Of course Athens, Meigs and Vinton County re DII, the rest are DIII. Athens is pretty much a young team and doing well. They very well could be a spoiler. VC can hit but weak on D. Meigs is very well balanced on both sides of the ball.

We can predict but when it all comes down its one game at a time. One loss and your sitting at home ! Here is hoping the rain will pitter away to sunshine and we have a dry tournament play. Looking forward to Sunday's seeding !

Man if we could only get GopherK to show up we would have the Mount Rushmore of SEOP’s Softball Forum all active on one thread again. Ode to the good ol days....

Thanks for the input guys

Vinton County is improving
Obviously I’m a mark for Ward-ee
But you can tell that’s a program
on the upstroke.

The top four seeds get home games.

Warren was road warriors last year.
I imagine they would have preferred a home game in that run last year.

That being said it’s looking to me like
Jackson, Gallia and Warren are 3 of the top 4.
Athens, Waverly and Unioto have a legit shot for the 4th spot.

The biggest question maybe who gets stuck with the drive to Warren?

Warren is currently 8-2.
They returned entire starting lineup except right fielder I think.

Lol, joking. I’m outta the loop, but know going to Warren is no bueno lol.....though we had to play a DH there for a SEOAL Championship due to some shenanigans. Somehow swept them to win league. Our regional final year we beat #1 seed 20-3 in the district finals....beat em good. Hope Jackson does it again this year to them. Always feels good to beat Warren.

I some what remember that double header deal,
Jackson showed some class and courtesy
didn’t force Warren to play
original scheduled game.
A.D. got rooked into accepting
the double header at Warren.
“It’s girls softball so does it really matter”
Some of your girls had already made plans to be elsewhere ect........

You guys still went down and took care if business.

I maybe wrong on some of the finer points, the old bean counter ain’t what it once was.
