Ptown: Wasn't questioning "your" playing ability nor "your" coaching ability but...ok. The subject that you and I were discussing, well, that I was talking about, was the level of coaching vs the level of talent in our area.
The majority of our talent outweighs the "in-game" knowledge of the majority of coaches.
2 or 3 is NOT the majority.
Thanks again SOSoftball & SoftballAlways for providing that info.
Just as an FYI since SOC 1 includes local schools also below is their information for same time period.

Thanks SOSoftball. Always nice to see the #s.
We are handling our own very well in D4 come tournament time but definitely struggling in D3 outside of Burg.

I don't see how Wheelersburg doesn't make a run at another state title with the talent and depth that they have, can't image too many teams with more talent at the D3 level or probably any level

It will all come down to pitching. Someone in the tourney will hold the offense down. Homeruns knocked them out last year. Hard to defend those.

If Burg stays healthy they have to be favorite to come out of region.

Thought I would add Minford's district title years to the current list:
1993, 1994, 1986, 1997 with 1995 district runners up.
As far as this season goes, good strides are happening so far with scrimmages.

Minford has several nice players who will play in college , Have to play a perfect game against Burg to beat them and catch Burg on a day where the bats are off , but it could happen. They are talented .

Burgs first scrimmage tonite
Very solid
I agree with someone earlier- pitching will determine how far they go in tournament ( just like everyone else I guess)
I’ve seen Minford play as well and I too believe they have enough talent to beat Burg

Not only is C. Brisker one of the best hitters in all of SEO, she's one of the best if not the best SS that I have seen play in many years.

Two great battles between Oaks and Minford this week as they split. SOC 2 is gonna be fun to watch. Oaks right back at it this week playing Waverly twice.

Brisker makes everything look effortless and does it with class. She's not big headed about anything good that comes her way. Great kid.

Glad to see oak hill doing well despite losing a key contributor two weeks before the season started

she can hit the long ball for sure but what are her other stats? avg runs obp? strength of schdule. pitching? who coaches minford? sounds like they handed the oaks that one

Brisker is a dominant player , will be a real get for a SSU or Rio if they can land her . If she wants to local.
