This team lost a lot of seniors that didnt get to play out their last season. What will the team look like this year. Who plays where? Will they make a deep tournament run? How far will they go?

Ironton returns the District Player of the Year who is a talented pitcher, I believe already committed to Ohio U. Yep, they lost a good pool of seniors but if they can hit a little bit the pitcher will keep them in most of the games they play.

Getting a ride is OU is huge . I havent seen her throw in 2 years , but she was definetly dominate . Hard for hitters around here to handle a rise , not many throw one , let alone a real good one

Burg and Ironton for district dominance this year. Can the Ironton pitcher stop the Burg offense? Will be an instant classic.

I've lost track of Burgs grads with the missing season . Anyone venture a starting line up ? Lots of the 12u LL WS champs are now freshman , or Soph's ??

I think it depends on what else ironton has. You have to score to win. The pitcher isn’t un-hittable.

I was talking to a couple of the Burg girls last night and there were like 7-8 that play top level travel ball...Hughes, Sturgill, Eller, Eaton, Howard, Skiver, Myers. There’s also a couple with speed and another senior who plays travel ball that will probably contribute. Those are the ones I know of, no idea what a line up will look like but they should be loaded.

Ironton has a very good program and should be very successful in the upcoming tournament play.

Lost 2-1 in 16 innings to Portsmouth Notre Dame . Ironton threw Moore the entire 16 innings for a total of 236 pitches . So I was told ,sorry if incorrect.

A bunch of innings to throw in a meaningless game

True. 12 innings on any pitcher this late in the season is risky though.

If 12 is risky how should we describe 16 ?

Some of these crazy travel ball people play multiple games in one day and a pitcher could pitch far more than 12 innings in one day in the big tournaments. I can see both sides of the argument though.
