Valley football 2013
Re: Valley football 2013
Any updates on how the team is coming along? Still only 9 games this year? Not a lot of talk about the defending champs.
Re: Valley football 2013
Valley is in the catbirds seat being dropped to D-6 leaving them playing all D-5 schools and 1 D4 school in Minford. West,Wheelersburg,Waverly and Portsmouth are all D5 so even without a full schedule they will get in and to take it a step further just my opinion, they could make it in with 2 losses as long as they beat the right teams.
Re: Valley football 2013

Re: Valley football 2013
I am really looking forward to watching the '13 Valley football squad. Valley definitely has things going on in Lucasville. Their athletic department has the right philosophy. If they are as physical up front as they were last year, they could repeat as SOC Champs and make another long playoff run.

It appears that the Indians have filled their week 2 open date with Van Buren High School. The Black Knights will travel to Lucasville in week 2. Van Buren is coming off a 5-5 season were 4 of their 5 losses were to playoff teams including Regional Champions McComb and Liberty Benton.
Re: Valley football 2013
How will the 2013 Indians compare with Indian teams four or five years ago when GGallipolis scrimmaged them? Lucasville a great place to play. Gallipolis is coming off a 9-3 playoff season and a 5-0 SEOAL title. Devils have scme skilled players returning. Question is how much of a line will GAHS have this fall.

We are coming off back to back SOC II championships ...12-1 in 2011 and 12-1 last yr and 3rd round of playoffs in 2011 got beat by bucyrus wynford regional semis and last yr getting beat by Liberty union In regional semis
We have approximately 18 srs 8 jrs 18 so and i have know idea on freshmen this year
All of the seniors have been major contributors since they were freshmen and our sophmore group have been very successful and several started as freshmen last yr and in various roles
We graduated only 9 seniors from last yrs team
We are replacing : quarterback/corner, center, 2 linebackers( out and inside ) and our off and def tackle and defensive end that were our 6 senior starters last yr
our skill positions are top notch and deep our line is not huge but long and can get leverage and they have good feet everyone here is looking forward to the season

According to this, the game against Van Buren will be on Saturday. That makes sense because as Coop said, Van Buren has a long haul. They are coming from almost Toledo.
