Re: Valley football 2013
I really wish west would step up. With his height he could be a real weapon. But he needs to add weight. Rolfe will need a few weeks to get his timing down with his receivers. I think by the end senior year he will hold most of valleys passing records. That is if the talent keeps coming in like it has been. I always wondered why we don't do more trick plays most of the time we have 3 qbs on the field. I would also like to see more jet sweeps to shope. We have so many weapons we can really open it up. I just think we need to use are speed a little better.

Ugh posted that lastnight after way to many beers. I don't even remember login on here. I guess tho I agree with most what I said. I would like to see are offense take the next step and become more dynamic. We run the spread but its still run up the middle 60 of the time.

Re: Valley football 2013
You could not be more wrong. Valley, with a combination of sweeps, counters, and the passing game, uses the edges as good as if not better than anyone in the region. The Indians do run the ball between the tackles a lot, but so many times that is when they have a lead and are either bleeding the clock or trying not to humiliating an opponent. When you have the offensive line that the Indians have had the last few years and will have this season, there is no reason to run a bunch of "trick plays". Just because you have 3 quarterbacks on the field doesn't mean that either of the others are ready to make a throw in a game situation. Valley has 24 wins in the last two seasons while scoring 36 points per game. I will take the offense we have had and continue to play solid defense.izladoom wrote:Ugh posted that lastnight after way to many beers. I don't even remember login on here. Valley looked good tonight against gallia academy. They ran the ball very well. All of are deep balls was overthrown tho. Rolfe really ran the ball well. He had a great fake pitch on a option run turned it up field and ran it in for about 25 yards. He seemed to make good reads on when to tuck it and run. Arrnett ran hard all night. Blake Howard really surprised me he made several plays. The defense looked strong they gave up a few long plays tho. One real early in the first drive but a player for gallia made a great block to bust a long run. Rolfe gave up a long pass just seemed to misjudge it. #40 was unblockable on one play they even triple teamed him.

Re: Valley football 2013
O hit a big run by warnimont on first drive. But was pretty slow paced rest of scrimmage (but jarrell and carter split reps)
We looked to establish the run without much success but think jarrell made some nice throws. OLine pass protected well. Run blocking suspect. Allison Eastman and warnimont will be 3 big threats
D looked solid giving up only 1 td on a last play of drove, while also forcing a fumble and interception by Eastman. I thought Byus Williams and Owens looked solid, ams always around the ball
Overall a quality scrimmage and excited for what's to come

I figured we would have made top ten. It's going be tough 3 of the top ten is in are region I think lol. I think the team that would give us the most problem is bellaire with their passing game. I think we will be more prepared than most teams for the playoffs with are schedule. 5 possibly 6 teams might be playoff teams. It's going to be great seeing all tear teams represent southern Ohio.

Looking forward to tonights scrimmage at Lucasville. The Streaks have a lot of new faces that need to face a team like the Indians to see where they are at and what they need to work on! Lets Go Streaks!

I would not put much into the power poll. They have Burg at number 3 in DV ahead of Ursaline, Coldwater, St. Clairesville and Finley Liberty Benton. One thing for Valley fans you can come to Burg next Friday and see Columbus Ready #2 in the DVI power poll scrimmage Burg.

Valley looked very good last night. Still a few things to work on and get tuned up, but overall, I was pleasently surprised. They looked very good against Piketon, but not sure how good Piketon is going to be yet.
Re: Valley football 2013
Yeah valley looked really good. The offense moved the ball really well. Rolfe looked more accurate lastnight than against gallia academy. I think what impressed me the most was the defense. Piketon had a hard time moving the ball. I can't wait till the season starts.
