Cadets came out and completely shut down the Eagles in the first half. The Eagles had negative yards in first half and one first down. JR DT Isiah Jones was player of the night on defense getting multiple TFLs. Cadets had the ball on 2 at the end of the half but had to settle for a FG that the Eagles blocked. I’m the first half the Cadets trio of ( Adkins, Schob , and Fisher ) all ran wild. Tate really didn’t have a clean pocket tonight but he did hit Fisher for a TD in the first half. At half the score was 28-0. In the 3rd you could tell that this was the Forts first time playing into 2md half this year because they were gassed. They fumbled 3 times in the 3rd 2 were lost. Belpre Sr Collins had a long drive in the 3rd. They gave him the ball 9 times in a row. That drive would end on a 6 yard Td on a basketball pass on fourth down. At that point it was 28-7. The Cadets bounced back and Schob scored his 2nd TD. He finished the game with 125 yards and 2 TDS. Fisher had a Rushing and Rec TD. Late in the 4th freshman FB Casey Brooker tumbled in for a TD with 40 seconds left to make it 42-7. The last score of the game would come on an 86 yard kick return TD by Logan Adams.

Belpre will win some games they should of stuck to the interior run instead of the outside run. Fort was just so much faster then them.

Belpre was able to get something out of their power running game, but could not keep up with Fort Frye's scoring.

Still only had 49 yards rushing on 38 carries. Belpre had so many negative yard plays trying to go outside. They need to stick to the power inside game.

Fort Frye is just that much better than Belpre right now. Tip your hat to them because they deserve it. As long as they stay healthy, they are going 10-0 and should have a very good chance at a regional championship.

Belpre is headed in the right direction now more than it has been in nearly a decade. Coach Devol has a good staff and he is getting players in the best position they can be to help the team. The Eagles don't have much of an outside game vs a much quicker Cadet squad but their offense will develop as the season goes on. I expect this Eagle team to win some games.

Belpre is rebuilding, and they were able to run inside. A team that is physical like The Golden Eagles, but also further along in their development, may have success against Fort Frye. There is work to be done.
