Jr High week 1

Post by BigBlueNation »

Northwest 8th at Valley.
Valley will be combined 7th and 8th.
The teams split last year. This should be a good one.

Waverly @ WCH

Anyone know anything about Waverly’s 7th grade class? Good athletes? Good size? Waverly 7th grade defeated WCH 12-8 last year I believe so the 8th grade game could be a great game! Just don’t know much about this years 7th grade class for the Tigers.

7th
WCH - 52
Waverly - 6

8th
WCH - 30
Waverly - 22

The 8th grade game was 30-8 with less than 4 minutes to go. WCH inserted the second team defense and Waverly scored two quick ones late.

I was very impressed with the Burg Jr. High coaching staff. Those guys did a great job against us tonight. Burg is a very good 8th grade football team. Good luck the rest of the year.

That Ironton-Burg game was two great games to watch!! Neither team gave up and that 8th grade game was a hard hitting football game. Glad I went and watched got my money worth. Don’t know what anybody else has but these two has to be the best two teams around our area!! Great job and way to put a great hitting clean game to the Pirates and Tigers.

The class in the 8th grade was not very good until they got the transfers.
Valley has a real nice 8th grade team, especially when they go 5 wide.

Not sure who you are talking about but Ironton has no transfers. We have the same team as last year.

He meant Wheelersburg. They have 4 or 5 starters that are transfers this year.

Northwest was up on them 14-8 At the half. Valley came out second half 4 and 5 wide and won 32-14.
They have a very good qb and some good fast receivers.
They hardly ever run between the tackles.

#32 is from Valley, #75 and #12 from West, #22 from Minford, was told one from Webster. Don't know about Portsmouth.

3 of those are the best players on the team. 75 is starting both ways too. Have a few open slots, due a little recruiting, and go from one of the weaker classes in recent memory to a strength in one season. Then brag how great you are
