Re: Whitehall-Yearling (2-1) @ Hamilton Township (1-2)
Just like Granville, Whitehall has a quarterback who toyed with Hamilton Twp last year. If HT's offense keeps its momentum and fundamentals from last week, this has the potential to be a bit of a shoot-out.
Rangers playing in their home stadium for the first time this season, that may help to avoid a bloodbath. I certainly hope so.

Don't know a lot about either one of these teams. Should be a pretty good ballgame. Have been to 3 or 4 playoff games at Hamilton Township. I'll pick the Rams in a close game.

WH HT
1Q 7 6
2Q 0 0
3Q 7 0
4Q 13 0
Final 27 6
It was close game for 3 quarters - then the bottom dropped out for Hamilton Township.
For the second time this year, Hamilton Township scored first, but had too many dropped passes. Whitehall defense stayed tough and made big plays in the 4th quarter for a convincing win. Rams QB Raymell Bird refused to be sacked the entire game, and ran for 3 touchdowns. He actually ran for a fourth TD that was called back for a penalty.
Rangers scored at 4:16 mark with a 13 yd pass, but missed the PAT kick, and that set the tone for the game. Rams answered two minutes later on a 1 yd QB keeper around the left end. No scores in the second quarter, both teams had long drivers that stalled, and the half ended with Whitehall hanging on to a one-point lead. WH 7, Ht 6
Third quarter, 3:42 mark - Rams QB kept the ball again around the left end for 9 yards, getting his thired TD with 3:42 left. WH 14, HT 6
On the kickoff, the Whitehall kicker punched a line drive that bounced off the the nearest Ranger at the 50 = and caromed back into the kicker's hands. Was a Ranger downer, but they weren't done yet.
Fourth quarter, 8 minutes left. Rangers down by 8, with 4th and 13 on their own 38 yard line, decide to shake things up. Punt formation, but the HT punter sets up and passes to Crallie for 15 yards just across midfield for the first down, and are thinking comeback. But their offense sputtered at that point and never fired back up.
6:15 left - Whitehall's Byrd back to pass, defenders chasing him back and forth deep behind the line for an eternity - Byrd cut back into the middle of the field, finds a seam, and runs 57 yards untouched for another TD - PAT kick is blocked. WH 20, HT 6
3:27 left in the game - Rangers QB tries to hit his receiver on a post route. Passed tipped at midfield by a Ram LB, another Ram snags it and heads upfield. He's hit at the 50, manages to lateral to a third Ram before he goes down, and the recipient runs 52 yards for the final score. WH 27, HT 6
Whitehall has great potential. Their FB Wayne Blackshear is a punishing load.
Hamilton Township now at 1-3, on the road to Bloom Carroll for week 5.
