Re: Hamilton Township (2-4) @ Fairfield Union (2-4)
Thursday night game for the Rangers and Falcons, broadcast on the CW in Columbus, ch 53 over the air.
From the looks of previous game scores and comments I've seen, sounds like FU is much improved this year. ImThatLady has to be happy about that - or not.
Not sure what kind of game to expect this Thursday, but I do expect it will be interesting! Ham Twp has to stay focused and keep that offensive line on the attack to keep the ground game going.

HT won 41-21
.......1 2 3 4
HT ..14 14 0 13
FU ..7 7 0 7
Actually, a pretty exciting game. Hamilton Twp kept themselves in the game in the second half with two interceptions. Fairfield Union had a tricky offense with the QB running sprint options or executing tricky handoff's. HT never came close to sacking him.
Rangers showed signs of slowing down in the 3rd, with poor field position, then got the ball on their own 5 yard-line with 2 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter. They kept the ball for almost 9 minutes, finally scoring with 6 minutes to go. The Falcons answered quickly on the next drive, hitting the endzone touchdown on a well-executed halfback draw.
Jekyll and Hyde? Pretty much. On the final drive, rangers went to the "Hyde" personality with an interesting jumbo package, our tailback taking the snap, everybody blocking right, then tailback stutter-stepped, cut to his left, and put the game away on an 80-yard run.
Plays That Make You Go "Huh?" Dept:
Sometime in the second half, the Falcons ran an interesting play with the QB hitting a player on a nice pass, who turned and ran for 10 yards - except his jersey number was 62. Falcons lined up quick to try to run the next play, but the Ranger players were complaining loudly. The refs conferred for a minute, then head ref threw a flag straight up in the air. The PA announcer immediately said "Ineligible receiver, Falcons" without any official signal. Not something you see every day, but at least the kid knew what do after he caught the ball.
