Waverly has two newer restaurants in Roosters and a great BBQ place "Beast in Bottle" as well as many pizza joints (Cardos, Lloyds, Giovannis, Freds, etc.) If you're into seafood we have the Grand Tavern. Mexican restaurant El Charro. All great choices!

Look for the Tigers to come out strong like they have the last two weeks against 2 possible playoff contenders. The Tiger seniors will come out fired up at what could be their last game at Radiger Field. I look for Waverly to keep rolling into week 11 with a focused win over Logan 42-14!

I would say Waverly is probably 3 or 4 TDs better than Meigs if that says anything.

Best comp is Athens IMO. Think Waverly is 6-10 points better than Athens.

Waverly beat Fairland pretty handily and Fairland beat Athens

That's why I said Waverly was better than Athens. I have actually watched the Fairland/Waverly and Athens/Fairland games.

Waverly beat Fairland by 14 at home.

Athens lost to Fairland by 4 away.

So that delta is 18 points. I said I think Waverly is 6-10 points better than Athens.

First I'm subtracting 3 points for Waverly being at home and giving Athens 3 points for being away.

Now the delta is 12. The game was also played on a sloppy field in bad weather - whereas both Athens and Waverly usually play on turf.

That's how I get my 6-10 point number.

Athens beat Logan by 7.

I set the spread at 18.5 for Waverly against Logan.

I'll tell you what I'm going to do. I'm going to unexpectedly agree with Paladin. I agree with him that Logan would be an average D4 team and a decent D5 team. The problem for them is they're D2. And while he may be correct when he says Waverly will learn how good they are in their own division during the playoffs, at least they'll be in the playoffs. Maybe you cronies can get your hero to load you up in his soccer mom van and take you to watch Waverly play in week 11. Cause as your hero joked about Waverly, basketball season is just a few days away for Logan. Now you fellas go hide behind ole cranky and let him speak for you.

First timers have to pay the Brat tent a visit.
It’s located behind the home bleachers beside the Field House. On your right coming in through the ticket booth.

I wonder if ground bucky is an older coach from N-Y ? It may be that he was around when we played a 4 game series with N-Y when I coached Rosecrans and we won 3 of those games in pretty convincing fashion. Otherwise, he misses the point of the post. Waverly probably wins, but it’s not a given. Looks like a rain game, wet field and all. Waverly relies on skill. Logan , while trying to run a finess O, is more power oriented with a solid D. Can a 1-8 team beat a 8-1 team in a rain game ? Stay tuned.

Waverly makes the playoffs win or lose. The problem is what awaits them. Logan should help prepare them, but their schedule has been too light to toughen them up for the playoffs, even with a decent team. They just aren’t in tune with what it will take.

Logan needs a complete overhaul and it’s not certain the town elders have the brains or cohones to do it. They apparently are willing to continue to be feckless.

Great breakdown on everything. Playoff projections/scenarios are pretty much exactly what I've been saying. Cant go any lower than a 6, just be nice to get this win against Logan (not a given by any stretch) and hope London and Taft both get beat. Indian Hill will probably get beat by Wyoming but I doubt we would jump them.
BUT, let's focus on what we can take care of and that's winning tomorrow night in what looks like is going to be a typically rainy/cold week 10 game.

OK I rarely get into schedule disputes because they are the most worthless thing ever, but with all the "stuff" about schedules being written here we go.
Waverly in is the SOC II - they MUST play everyone in that conference. Wheelersburg, (Portsmouth) West, MInford, (Lucasville) Valley and soon Oak Hill. All of those are D-V with the exception of Valley who is D-VI.
Now I think we don't play Nelsonville-York next year and I think we are keeping the 3 SVC teams. I think we have another year with Fairland on the deal.
