Hartley is the Favorite, but I wouldnt be shocked to see them get upset. Eastmoor and Hillsboro in the second round will be a tough match up for them whoever they get. In my opinion it will be Hillsboro. Hillsboro runs a very similar if not exact offense as Clinton Massie does.

As of now, Id still pick Hartley to win the region, but it sure wont be an easy road.

Hartley would spank Eastmoor right now. If Hillsboro wins, we'll see what happens.

Why would they spank Eastmoor?

Didnt Hartley just struggle with St. Charles? Not taking jabs, just curious what happened with that??

I don't know as that is a head scratcher ? It is a neighborhood rivalry, sit kids, stay healthy, let JV get some reps, was really wet and rainy ? I don't think it would've been that close if they didn't do some of above ? We'll see come Friday.

I think Hartley just mailed it in against St. Charles. Probably rested their starters most of the game. St. Charles is the doormat of the CCL. Maybe sapientia or one of the other Hartley posters on here can give some insight.

I've wondered about St. Charles / Hartley game also. Didn't Washington CH early in the year when they were playing terrible defense, beat St. Charles at St.C pretty easily?

I don't think they mailed it in at all. All of their box scores are on maxpreps. All the usual names, with no subs, in the St Charles game stats.

Hartley and I’ll say that none of their games will be within 2 scores.

Its a neighborhood thing (5-10 minute drive between schools) and Eastmoor not disciplined enough for four quarters against them.

It’s gonna be Hillsboro any way.

http://www.thisweeknews.com/sports/2018 ... on-tune-up

Hartley fumbled 4 times; maybe 5. And threw an INT. I think all the fumbles except one happened in the red zone. Just long slow drives. First got a TD. Many ended in turnovers. A couple punts though. St Charles was playing like it was the superbowl. Hartley was playing like it was a pre-season scrimmage. We have a history of struggling against the Cardinals.
