The improvement of Andre Wesson has been pretty astounding. I didn't expect he'd amount to much. Kind of disappointed in the lack of improvement by Jallow, but he's still a young guy, hopefully that comes.

For the first time this season, the Buckeyes have dropped a game, as they fell to Syracuse in the ACC/B1G Challenge in Columbus, 72-62. After the game, the Orange improved to 4-2, while OSU fell to 6-1. The Buckeyes struggled with the length of Syracuse all night, as the Orange were able to rotate long, athletic players in all night.

CJ Jackson led the Buckeyes in scoring with with 19 points. They also got solid performances from Kaleb Wesson (13 points, 8 rebounds) and Kyle Young (12 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals).

As Buckeye fans, you have to be excited about Kyle Young. The hustle he shows on every play is fantastic, and has really improved his offensive game.

Tyus Battle led Syracuse with 20 points.

Ohio State will try to get back on track against another strong team, as they open Big Ten play against Minnesota on Sunday.

'Cuse came into the game as a terrible shooting team, and hit shots all over the place. The Buckeyes went cold for too long a period of time. You have to hit the open shots against this 'Cuse defense, because you're not going to get many uncontested. With Frank Howard back, Syracuse will be back in the rankings before long. Biggest worry after this game for OSU is the injury to Luther Mohammed, hopefully it isn't serious and he misses little to no time.

Playing in their B1G opener today, the Buckeyes cruised past Minnesota in Columbus, 79-59. With the win, OSU improves to 7-1, and Minnesota drops to 6-2. Six different Buckeyes scored in double figures for the day, none better than Andre Wesson, who scored a career high 16. His brother Kaleb, dropped in 15 points. CJ Jackson and Musa Jallow each tallied 11 points, while Kyle Young and Duane Washington both scored 10.

Minnesota was led by Amir Coffey with a game high, 19 points.

Next up, Ohio State will play Illinois, not in Champaign, but at the United Center in Chicago on Wednesday.

Playing in their second and last conference game until the new year, the Buckeyes hit the road earlier tonight to take on Illinois at the United Center in Chicago, where they eventually pulled away to win 77-67. The first half saw OSU mostly in control, but a surge late in the first half by the Illini saw them take the halftime lead. A solid first part of the second half allowed Illinois to increase their lead, before the Buckeyes were able to take over later in the second half to pull away for the victory. With the win, OSU improves to 8-1, while Illinois drops to 2-7.

The Buckeyes were led by Keyshawn Woods with 18 points and 4 rebounds. Followed by Kaleb Wesson with 13 points and 7 rebounds. Musa Jallow also added 11 points, and a career-high 9 rebounds.

Illinois was led by Kipper Nichols and Trent Frazier, while each scored 18 points.

Ohio State is now off for 10 days before they get back into non-conference. They'll host Bucknell on the 15th.

After having 10 days off since their last game, the Buckeyes (9-1) looked a little rusty in this one, as they trailed Bucknell (4-4) at the half by one point, but ultimately avoided a huge upset, winning 73-71.

Kaleb Wesson had a big game for OSU, with a 22 point and 10 rebound double-double. Keyshawn Woods added 13 points, while CJ Jackson chipped in 10 points.

Bucknell was led by Kimbal Mackenzie and Avi Toomer who each scored 13 points.

Ohio State is back in action on Tuesday when they host Youngstown State.

As expected, the Buckeyes (10-1) rolled to a victory tonight, over in-state opponent Youngstown State (4-9), 75-56. Although, it wasn't always easy like the final score might indicate. OSU trailed at the half (25-22), before coming out in the second half on a mission to run away with it. Kaleb Wesson had a monster 31 point performance (to go along with 7 rebounds and 3 assists). CJ Jackson and Luther Muhammad both also scored 11 points a piece for the Buckeyes.

The Penguins were led by Darius Quisenberry, who had a solid 17 point effort.

For Ohio State, next up they will travel to the United Center in Chicago to play against UCLA on Saturday.

Be nice to get the W over UCLA on Saturday and roll back into conference play at 12-1. Need to play lockdown D from the start. They were lazy defensively in the 1st 10 minutes against Youngstown St., then couldn't hit a shot in the 1st half. Can't do that against decent teams.

OSU picked up a nice win today, defeating UCLA in Chicago, 80-66. The Buckeyes lead by 3 at the half, but really opened it up in the second with CJ Jackson's big half of scoring, he scored 20 in the second half.

CJ Jackson had a game high 22 points. And Kaleb Wesson added a double-double (15 points, 12 rebounds).

UCLA was led by Kris Wilkes 18 points.

Ohio State is now off until Saturday (12/29) when they wrap up the non-conference schedule by hosting High Point.

The Buckeyes (12-1) wrapped up the 2018 portion of their schedule this afternoon, by winning 82-64 over High Point (6-7) in Columbus. Not only did this wrap up the 2018 portion of the schedule, but it also wrapped up non-conference play. Here until the end of the season, the only games they have left are against the grueling Big Ten. This game was all OSU, as they led by 9 at halftime, then doubled their lead in the second half to win by 18.

CJ Jackson led the Buckeyes and all scorers with 20 points. Three other Buckeyes scored in double digits: Kaleb Wesson (17), Luther Muhammad (15) and Andre Wesson (10).

The Panthers were led by Ricky Madison's 12 points.

The next matchup for Ohio State is a massive one, as they host Michigan State next Saturday.

I have watched all of the games but do not post about them on here. The season thread is not as good as individual threads in my opinion.

That's the third straight season you've said that. If you don't like it then don't read it. You're more than welcome to post stuff about the games and the team on this thread. It's for everyone.

I don't start threads because I do not wish to cluster the board, with the same post.
Sorry if I touched a nerve.

No worries from me. We just have different opinions and that's okay. But isn't having a different thread for every single game clustering the board? lol

Well we can work on something. I'm not trying to hog the OSU basketball posts or anything. You can write game recaps if you want. I'll just keep the record and final scores updated on this thread. I just like having the schedule/results in one place.

It's all good.
I do like reading the stuff the way you post it.
Anyone who takes the time to post on the Buckeyes, I give mad props to.
Maybe starting next season I will do game threads.

I would say baseball but its hard to find many games on TV and almost as hard to find them online.
Plus I find myself watching more college softball than baseball.
