2018-19 Logan

Post by SEFan »

Well the boys topic is flowing let’s get a little on the girls side.

Obviously I’m very disappointed in the state of this program but still will always be a Chieftain.

How’d summer go? Anybody seen a schedule yet?

The Starlin kid is our lone returning big time player as Sammons, Davis, and Lunsford all left.

We will be old but struggles will come as not many of the seniors have big minutes.

Eggleston and Thompson will need to be ready quickly if the girls are going to be competitive as they have a brutal schedule!

I was also told a couple of freshmen played up this summer.

Did not see a scrimmage scheduled today on school website . It's usually pretty much up to date . Looks like @ Canal on Tuesday and Home Wednesday ( not sure with who). Boys at Deleware Hays next Sat.

I was told they beat Canal but Canal’s starters were out? Still, good win. I haven’t heard anything from Warren.

We played Westerville South this week and it was ugly.

Do we have anymore before season? One week away!

55-45 win today over Dublin Scioto. Thought we looked pretty good at times but pretty poor at some times as well. But, first game of the season we should be happy with it! Balanced scoring as well, which we will need all season to win games. We don’t have that kid that can go get 20 on any given night anymore, a lot of girls are going to have to step up.

Tale of two halves last night. The Chieftains led by I think as many as 10 in the first half before losing by around 20. Halftime adjustments were definitely won by Gahamna as Logan looked bad in the second half. I thought it was going to be a big time win for the first home game of the season.

Emily Eggleston led us. I think she had 17, could have had 20. The seniors needed to step up in a game like that and just didn’t.

Saw some good things but things that need fixed and fast. Gahanna outplayed us the second half and that can’t happen at Jim’s!

The Lady Chiefs picked up 2 wins in 2 days downing Circleville 50-46 and Zanesville ( coached by former Lady Chiefs coach Seth Martin ) 59-36 . They are 3-1 on the season losing to a good Gahanna team .

Made the long trip to Dublin last night. Wanted to see the Sheldon girl (Ohio State commit). This one was over before the first quarter was over and maybe even before the first quarter started. 76-41 Dublin Coffman with the win. We looked outmatched, outcoached, and outplayed.

I’m thinking this was a matchup Coffman took when we were full go with both our All-State players on the roster, because there is no chance they would take this as a non-league game knowing this is how it would be.

Definitely disappointed as again it just looked like we got beat in every part of the game.

SEF don't be so hard on the ladies. DC will win 20 games this year above the Lancaster-Dixon line. It is never a bad thing to lose to a better team. Learn and beat the next team.

Not trying to be hard on them. I’m just disappointed I guess in what this administration has done to Athletics here at Logan. In this case, I think if we have Davis, Lunsford, Sammons, and Pierce, then we compete and possibly win this game. Plus, I wasn’t crazy about our game plan (but that’s always easy for a fan to say!). Chadwell just seemed to have these girls playing harder with better gameplanning.

Again, not saying they didn’t play hard or care, it’s just the “what could have” or even “should have” been this year that has me highly disappointed.

And not taking anything away from Dublin Coffman. They are the real deal!
