Wow, he really bounced back. Fairland held him to 7pts (2-8) on Tuesday.

Matthew's 46 points broke the school record of 44, held by Jayllen Carter, who scored that mark vs. Jackson in the 2013 season. Dion McKinley had 42 points in the 2012 season, which at that time elipsed the 41 points of the great Larry Hisle, who set that total vs. Wilmington in 1965. In 2011, Wayne Evans came close when he tallied 39 vs. Marietta in the 2011 season.

Congratulations to Matthew........an outstanding basketball player and a fine person. Great support from his teammates after he accomplished the record.

Outstanding - congratulations to Matthew ... I sat with Matthew's grandmother and mom at Piketon when the Trojans played Southeastern the first weekend of the season - good people that enjoy watching the young man play hoops ... trojandave posted it last summer - said that Matthew Fraulini IS one of the best scorers in SEOhio - right on the money again Dave ...

Great accomplishment for Matthew!! The home crowd was in a frenzy as he scored his 38th point. Most were very much aware at the time he needed only 6 to tie the record. From that point on it became a mission for Danny Lattimore to feed Matthew the ball.

Thank You. I was there for that game but couldn’t remember the player. I believe that 44 is still the record for the JHS gym.
