Good schedule. Wish would play Burg on Saturday! It would have an even bigger gate than it already does.

I see 8-2 possibly 9-1. Ironton improved a lot but still had some kinks to work out. I think it’s between them or Portsmouth for the ovc next year.

sweet. thank you buckeye. tickled to see Ashland remains on the schedule. as well as Russell. looks like a great schedule. ole bait's 40th ironton high school reunion is labor day weekend. and our class is going to the ironton/burg game Friday night, before our big shindig Saturday night. I hope it's an instant classic.

I think they have an awesome schedule for a school their size. and the 2nd smallest in the ovc behind the grove.

I agree ravens. the only school smaller than them on their schedule is coal grove. and they are very nearly the same size. I know there are not the Columbus desales, the Watterson's and such. but burg, Ashland and Russell are all very worthy opponents for out of conference. and the ovc is the perfect league for ironton right now. and the 3 ooc games we got , we know we can count on every year, year after year. and it appears the team is playing better ball. and the excitement is town is back.

I don't know who they'd have to drop to do that. as much as I'd love to see it. I wouldn't want to lose burg, Ashland or Russell.

I agree bait. Burg asland and Russel are fine football programs. But if I was ironton i kick off one of the KY schools. One team from OH and two from KY. I think two from OH and one from KY creates a better resume. Merely saying that as I believe OH over is better state of football than KY. Either way I believe ironton has a good schedule rather Jackson be on it or not. And if not what better competition than a Jackson vs Ironton scrimmage. That is a pre-season play-off game for both programs.

I agree. I think I would keep Wheelersburg and Ashland. Joe Eitel equates Ashland to a D2 team while Russell at D4. Adding Jackson would add an Ohio D3 to the schedule.

Ashland = D2 Ohio - if you beat them you get D2 Points for every game they win.
