When you part ways with 2 coaches one was Dist.coach of the year,both had winning records who would want it ???

One local kid an the other is so committed to the community he stayed after being fired.

Does make you wonder why anyone would want it.

I've heard his name pop up a lot in the 10 or so years I've been on this site, either as a user or lurker. What should the fine folks by the River expect? Scheme, style of coaching, you know the deal. Curious if he's an old school guy or more new age

Well, he meets the catchy name requirement (check) and if I remember correctly he had the players at SG and VC “running through brick walls” (check). So he’s already off to a good start.

I would be surprised to see Coach Burleson jump back into coaching after the last time I talked with him but I guess anything is possible! Coach has ran several types of offense over the yeas but he had his best offenses with the split back veer. He is a sales man and can get people to buy in. But I would be surprised to see him go back at this point in time.
