If those schools left the SOC II, i.e., Waverly D4, Portsmouth West D5 and Wheelersburg D5 and joined the 5 SEOAL South Schools to form a league, the SOC could still be alive and well with;

One benefit is that the longest drive is in the 1 hr and a half range and for the most part the league is inside of a triangle RT 23 - Rt 35 - Rt 52/7. Those roads are not too terrible. The longer trips for basketball could be worked out for Friday and Saturday evenings. I dare say all sports would have "sensible" travel.

A league proposal that has nothing to with Logan and 2old finds a way to get involved. Talk about your most serious case of Tiger Envy to date. You really should get that checked before it gets any worse

On topic, I think the league is a good idea but I don't see it happening either. I think Rock Hill is happy in the OVC and wouldn't want to leave. I see the same thing being true for Wheelersburg. They dominate the SOC in most all sports and make the football playoffs most years. I don't feel that they have anything to gain by leaving the friendly confines of the SOC.

Of course every team should look into it as it gives them a chance to get away from Logan who is by far the best team in every sport.

opinions from an outsider -- Ironton is now close to mediocrity, but has a extremely proud great history with long runs in the state playoffs, and will propably be back on top against schools of equal size.

Logan runs rampant over the SEOAL beacuse they are much larger school than MOST , not all, of the competetion. Then when placed against schools with similiar winning records and of equal size in the playoffs they fail miserably .

Both have very solid programs but Ironton has the tradition of deep playoff runs, Logan (at least from what I've read on here) suffers mightly when the 2nd season starts.

My opinion and 50 cent will get you a cup of cheap coffee. MD

I don't see any of those three schools going anywhere any time soon. Any realistic ideas for the SEOAL should start with the above mentioned teams and go from there.

It's because the posters from Jackson, Marietta and Zanesville have a little class and show it on SEOP. They don't come on here and beat their chests and boast every time their team wins a game. Logan seems to have the only posters from a D2 school in the SEOAL that act as if they are the greatest thing since the '72 Dolphins because they've had a few good years.
