You know the ole saying about opinions.

The teams mentioned as possible league members are the ones whose opinions I am listening to on this thread.

As far as I see it after that point no one else has a dog in this one.

and to answer your latest post reqarding me.

Tom,

NUNJA is your best answer. You are either embarrassed of saying your school could play with any of the teams from Logan and especially the football team or you just have intestinal fortitude. Tom have no fear it is perfectly consistent with your behavior and i would expect nothing less.

I guess I just have intestinal fortitude. I am strong enough to stand on my convictions no matter what you say to me. I am glad that you can see by my behavior that I have no fear of you or anyone else for that matter.

I am also glad that I am able to meet your expectations regarding my lack of fear.

You could have at least spelled nunua correctly, I'll go slow this time so you understand N-U-N-U-A.

Old Tom Morris,
We could start it out with just the 5 teams from the SEOAL-South if we had too. Play 4 league games and 6 non-league games to start out with.

I feel this has possibilities. Just wonder if you could get everyone on board, Portsmouth West could be a wild card for substitution if someone wasn't interested.

I took the liberty of calculating mileage and travel times between all points you listed. I believe I covered everyone, sorry ahead of time if I missed anyone.

Ironton - Chillicothe > 72 miles > 1 hr 25 min
Ironton - Jackson > 53 miles > 1 hr 1 min
Ironton - Waverly > 52 miles > 1 hr 2 min
Ironton - Portsmoouth > 29 miles > 36 min
Ironton - Wheelersburg > 20 miles > 22 min
Ironton - Rock Hill > 9 Miles > 13 min
Ironton - Gallipolis > 43 miles > 54 min
Chillicothe - Jackson > 30 miles > 38 min
Chillicothe - Waverly > 17 miles > 20 min
Chillicothe - Portsmouth > 45 miles > 57 min
Chillicothe - Wheelersburg > 52 miles > 1 hr 4min
Chillicothe - Rock Hill > 69 miles > 1 hr 24 min
Chillicothe - Gallipolis > 61 miles > 1 hr 16 min
Jackson - Waverly > 25 miles > 32 min
Jackson - Portsmouth > 39 miles > 51 min
Jackson - Wheelersburg > 34 miles > 41 min
Jackson - Rock Hill > 35 miles > 51 min
Jackson - Gallipolis > 32 miles > 43 min
Waverly - Portsmouth > 29 miles > 37 min
Waverly - Wheelersburg > 33 miles > 42 min
Waverly - Rock Hill > 50 miles > 1 hr 2 min
Waverly - Gallipolis > 57 miles > 1 hr 10 min
Portsmouth - Wheelersburg > 10 miles > 16 min
Portsmouth - Rock Hill > 27 miles > 36 min
Portsmouth - Gallipolis > 56 miles > 1 hr 18 min
Wheelersburg - Rock Hill > 17 miles > 21 min
Wheelersburg - Gallipolis > 50 miles > 1 hr 6 min
Rock Hill - Gallipolis > 36 miles > 48 min

Old Tom Morris,

Sounds Great... :!:

You see SE-Ohio it could happen. :-D

No more long 3 hour trips to play sports. :-D

I to agree about Portsmouth West D5 too.

If those schools left the SOC II, i.e., Waverly D4, Portsmouth West D5 and Wheelersburg D5 and joined the 5 SEOAL South Schools to form a league, the SOC could still be alive and well with;

1. Oak Hill D5
2. Minford D5
3. Lucasville Valley D5
4. Ottway Northwest D4
5. Portsmouth Notre Dame D6
6. Sciotoville Community (Portsmouth East) D6
7. Franklin Furnace Green D6
8. Willow Wood Symmes Valley D6

Add the Basketball Schools;

9. South Webster D5
10. Glenwood New Boston D6
11. Portsmouth Clay D6
12. Beaver Eastern Pike D6
13. Latham Western Pike D6

Good thought but Portsmouth West really like the league they are current playing in.

Army was just foreshadowing the OVC expansion with Gallia, Ironton, and Portsmouth joining it lol

I didn't see this was a necrothread for a minute. I was about to say that the ship has pretty much sailed for Portsmouth to compete with Chillicothe and Jackson for a league title in football every year.
