WW knew they was in a game as they had numerous kids banged up after that game.

I hope Jackson wins. I know enough about midland to know they aren't a pushover.
They like to play tough physical football.
Should be a good Ole good one!

I'm not "questioning" your history in the Jackson program. I just wanna know why you go out of your way to talk down about a program that you apparently played or coached in.

You've complained about Jackson's schedule in the past. Now, they go out and schedule tough opponents and "play up", but then you get all offended when someone says that Jackson will play a physical game, so Midland better be ready to play the same way.

I have a feeling that no matter what Jackson does, it's not gonna be good enough in your eyes.

I'm proud of the program Jackson has built, they have great culture, great facilities, and a great grassroots built from the ground up pee-wee program. I've only knocked the schedule in the past because for several years there, they were content on beating up on Division 4, 5, 6, and even 7 teams going 9-1/8-2 and content with losing in the first round of the playoffs. Jackson is a powerhouse in Southeastern Ohio, let's not kid ourselves... Logan and Warren don't even compare anymore. I know that travel presents a lot of problems, but just wish Jackson would've tested themselves a little more during some of these runs they've had against some really good teams. I understand politics, and money, lots of money have a lot to do with it. I just hope that window of being that Southeastern Powerhouse that nobody wants to play isn't closing. We'll see with the new league and all that comes with it, only time will tell.

Fair enough.

I think West Jeff just now dropped to D6. Bishop Ready was D6, I believe. Can't remember any other D6 teams that Jackson has played recently, and certainly can't remember any D7 teams, so you'll have to refresh my memory.

Jackson's schedule was pretty easy to predict. Week two was a play in game for the playoffs

I say the past is the past, leave a dead dog lie.
We should really be talking about this group of seniors, playing their last game at Alumni. We should be talking about playing to win this game!!! We have an outside chance at the postseason, we're not dead yet, and weirder things have happened. We should be preparing to represent the OH against one of the best that west 'by god' va has to offer.
And we should definitely be talking about throwing another screeen pass or two to Johnny Farley lol

My understanding is that with a win Friday night that the current senior class will be the most winning group of Ironmen football players to go through the program.

Outstanding and talented group of players, well deserved, well done.

I'm thinking they would tie the best varsity three year run, which would have been 1996-1998. Very impressive if they can get the win on Friday night and get to 29 wins.

1996: 11-1
1997: 9-2
1998: 9-1

Total: 29-4

2014: 11-1
2015: 11-2
2016: 7-3

Total: 29-6

Not sure how they are calculating it 02, just saw it on one of the twitter feeds last night from Jackson Sports or maybe Pete Wilson can't remember. Would they be calculating a 4-year run including freshman through senior classes?

If it's a four year run, then this group went 6-4 in 2013. The 1995 team went 8-2, so they would hold the advantage there.

I have no idea what the freshman team records were, so maybe that plays a factor in what they're saying.

Either way, what this senior class has accomplished is tremendous. 3 SEOAL titles, 2 playoff appearances, 3 playoff wins, etc. Great group!

2014 Jackson was their best team. 2015 and 2016 had a lot of fight but lacked the size on the lines.

1996 Jackson vs 2014 Jackson would be a good game given the edge to 1996

1996 Jackson lost 21-7 to Desales
Desales lost to Cleveland Benny 14-3

2014 Jackson lost to Desales 24-14
Desales lost to Athens 52-20

Well, back to the topic for a spell here. I think Midland is too much for a banged up Jackson team this week. Can't underestimate the number of kids Midland will dress for a school their size. 31-21

And Raider, lest you forget I think Athens holds an OHSAA record for scoring that many points and losing in a final. There is actually a benefit to playing defense sometimes. We all know about the 2014 Athens team by now, let it go man.

Just assumption on my part. Played bigger team, shorter week with less rest, based on reading WW thread appeared to be a physical game.

So not heard anything in particular, just seemed like it was a tough outing last Saturday.
