I'm from Poland and live in Athens. Warren, Alliance, and Youngstown are horrible cities. Housing in Mahoning county is very cheap because it's lost 70,000 people since 1970. Even Poland, houses are very cheap

Alliance isn't in the Mahoning Valley. Now you are "embellishing", lol. Poland, for as nice as it is , is home to the County garbage dump. On the other hand, Struthers, Lowellville, Campbell and Girard are dumps. Yet overall, the Mahoning Valley is very nice with upscale homes in nice suburbs. Ytown & Warren are dumps, as is most of SEO, the ghetto of Athens included. To try to spin it otherwise is a fool's errand.

Both areas have zero jobs. All the real jobs are in Columbus

I do love Boardman. Debartlo made that a very nice shopping area.

The Valley is full of "real" jobs and growing. But you need a college degree. The jobs for the masses are growing too as the Valley has become home for many new distribution centers for chain stores but , overall, for the masses, jobs are not growing fast enough and burger flipping has its limitations. Three Malls offer retail jobs, but those are limited in pay. The Metro area of 700K is shrinking slowly.

But it sure beats the he11 out of being in SEO.

I always felt Youngstown people are very educated football fans. Watching Mooney vs Mentor is like a chess match. Athens reminded of the 2009 Ursuline team. A very educated team.

Columbus has the most intelligent basketball fans.
