FAC Girls 2018 & preview

Post by noreply66 » Mon Jul 09, 2018 5:41 am

Chillicothe.....The Cavs lost 50 plus points to graduation that made up to about six girls. Field events didn't lose anything and will be average. Lost a lot in the hurdles and will return a hurdle that should move up in the standings. Sprints lost more than they will return. The 800,1600 and 3200 will be about the strongest in SEO with 45 to 50 points returning. Relays lost about 50% of their points but should be better than average.

Washington took the number two spot in 2018. They also lost 50 plus point with four girls graduating. Pole vault took the biggest hit along with the high jump. Shot put should be strong. Discus will need work. Hurdles won't have much returning. Sprints will be strong with 30 plus points coming back. 800, 1600 and 3200 will be below average. Relays will be average too.

McClain was the 3rd place team and they lost nearly 50 points. Three of the field events will return a lot. Discus and shot will be the ones that will have to find help. 100 hurdles will get points but it might be a different story in the 300. Sprints will be average. 800, 1600 and the 3200 won't show much. relays will be below average.

Miami Trace.....Is the 4th team to score more than 100 points in the 2018 conference meet. The field events should go like this. Long jump will be loaded, High jump and pole vault will not show too much and the discus and shot put will be way down. Over all under average. Hurdles will look good in the 300 but the 100 will be down. Sprints will be down with the 400 looking the best. 800,1600 and 3200 will be below average. Relays should make a good showing.

Hillsboro.....Looks like they lost only one girl to graduation that scored points in the FAC meet. Field events look real good with the shot and high jump being the best. Discus will need some work. Hurdles will put up some points but will probably be lower half points. In the sprint the 400 looks the best. 800, 1600 and 3200 will be down but not out. Relays will get their share of points.

Jackson.....Jackson didn't graduate much. This team has a few good girls but the depth just isn't there. Field events look terrible and with not doing the pole vault won't help. Hurdles are down. Sprinters will move up with other schools graduation. 800,1600 and 3200 will get their points. Relays will be average.

Chillicothe and Washington will battle for the top spot again. Might depend on what the freshmen can do in 2019. Hillsboro and Miami Trace are real close and this also might come down the what the freshmen can offer. If Jackson has a strong freshman class they might be able to past McClain for 5th.

The girls MS for the FAC looks like McClain will be sending some solid help to the varsity. Miami Trace, Hillsboro, Washington and Jackson will be sending several that could help out right away. Looks like Chillicothe had a down MS in 2018.
