Dietrich is the man! Also, it looks like Votto is starting to hit the ball better. Who knows? Maybe they can climb out of the cellar?

Coach David Bell does it again! In the game against the Dodgers on May 17, Dodgers are hitting the ball hard straight at defenders for 2 innings, he leaves DeSclafani in the game until they those hard outs become homers. Last night same thing, Pirates start hitting ball well on Lorenzen, Bell leaves him in, and bingo, 4 runs to blow the game wide open.
Now, I am not an expert but my wife called it both times. What does that say?

But if the Reds score 10 or more runs they don't win the next game !

A little perspective on the Reds performance thru June 6th this year versus last year:

2019 W 28 L 33 .459 pct 6.5 games back of 35-27 Cubs
2018 W 21 L 40 .344 pct 16 games back of 37-24 Brews

The difference is that the current Reds started 1-8. Last year's version started 3-18. At least this years NL Central features no team playing .600 ball at this stage of the season.

Reds just can’t put it together. When we are hitting our starters can’t go more than 4 innings, when the starters pitch good an deep into the game, can’t score any runs. Rasiel Iglesias isn’t the same pitcher he was last year, he makes me nervous every time he steps foot on the mound...lost a tough one tonight in extras to the tribe.

Thought it was a good one. Reds hung tough with the tribe, but couldn't get the big bats going. I'll be watching them again today. GO REDS!

Iglesias is definitely starting to pitch like he was last year, but not quite back yet. Votto's average is climbing again, and has two home runs in the last few games (which is a good sign).

Can't really figure out why they keep sending Peralta out there to pitch.

Woo Hoo! The Reds are hot. Two wins in a row and 4-6 in their last ten games thru 6-17! That and they are a half game ahead of the sinking and last place Pirates. The Reds are on pace to win 74 games this season, an improvement of 7 victories over last year. I guess all the Reds' off season player moves are paying off!
